A great 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea on May 1, 2015, at 08:06:03 UTC, at a depth of 19 km, reported Geoscience Australia (not finalized).

This is the second 7.1 great earthquake to hit the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea since yesterday.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami warning bulletin on May 1, 2015, at 0813 UTC.

417 major to great (6.0+) earthquakes hit various places over the last 802 days. Among these were 50 7.0+ and 4 8.0+ magnitude quakes. (Sources: CSEM-EMSC, Geoscience Australia, USGS, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, China Earthquake Networks Center).

Major to great magnitude earthquakes (6.0+) have increased to more than one quake every two days during the last 27 months on average. This is unprecedented and a fulfillment of last days Bible prophecy.

Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns, “Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places” Matthew 24:7.

“Great earthquakes shall be in diverse places and famines and pestilences, and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven” Luke 21:11.

Jesus also said, “Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching” Luke 12:37.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining will also come to pass.

This year, 2015, is also the biblical Shemitah (Jubilee) year, as we see the extremely rare occurrence of four “blood moons” (lunar eclipses, Joel 2:31, Acts 20:2) on Israel’s feast days in 2014-15, with a solar eclipse…

The Prophet Joel wrote about 2,500 years ago,

“The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible Day of the Lord come” Joel 2:31. 

Was he not referring to the tetrad of lunar eclipses, with a solar eclipse among them, during this extremely rare and phenomenal event – on Israel’s feast days also during this Shemitah-Jubilee year?

I believe he indeed made reference to this very event and I also believe that the return of the Lord is imminent!
