The Popocatépetl volcano erupted on Saturday again, having erupted twice over the weekend. Popocatépetl is located near Puebla Valley, about 80 miles east of Mexico City.

The volcano emitted hundreds of short, low intensity bursts of gas and ash, which fell on the surrounding towns.

Dozens of earthquakes have rocked the Bardarbunga volcano in Iceland since last week in one area of the southern part of the caldera and the volcano is being closely monitored.

VolcanoDiscovery.com reported new activity at the Popocatépetl, Shiveluch, Dukono, Yasur, Sinabung and Sabancaya volcanoes.

There are currently 154 active volcanoes throughout the world, which doesn’t include many underwater volcanoes. Of the 154 active volcanoes, 35 of these are currently erupting, which, again, does not include many underwater volcanoes.

The Word of God tells us concerning the last days,

“I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood, fire and vapor of smoke” Acts 2:19.

We will see more volcanic activity, along with earthquakes, pestilences and famines, all happening simultaneously, as we near the return of the Lord (Matthew 24).
