A great 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit north of Honduras on January 10, 2018, at 0252 UTC, at a depth of 33 km / 22 mi, reported the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a Tsunami Threat Message on January 10, 2018, at 0257 UTC, and tsunami waves have been observed!
888 major (6.0+) to super (8.0+) earthquakes hit various places worldwide over the last 1,785 days. Among these were 98 7.0+ and 10 8.0+ magnitude quakes.
