A major 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit the region of Haiti on October 7, 2018, at 00:12:00 UTC, reported LDEO (may not be finalized).

The death toll is 11 so far. Houses and buildings have been destroyed and others damaged. Haiti is among the poorest nations of the world and buildings are not safe during earthquakes and lives are always at risk.

Last night was a big wake up call for all of us. Just as we were all getting ready for bed, the ground started shaking and all the kids started screaming. A 5.9 earthquake (agencies vary regarding the magnitude) came from north Haiti and a 3.3 earthquake came from the Dominican Republic. So far 11 deaths have been reported and many buildings have collapsed. We are all fine here at Love A Child and are waiting to find out more information. Please pray for Haiti and all the people who are constantly suffering. Kaeli

Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns,
