This song is for all of us. The saints know first hand the benefits and promises of God; we live by them; we know in whom we can trust. He is always there, always providing, always protecting, always trustworthy, always faithful. Though the whole world forsake you, and saints know this, God will never leave you, nor forsake you!

The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy,

“At my first answer, no man stood with me, but all men forsook me; I pray that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully known and that all the Gentiles might hear, and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion” 2 Timothy 4:16-17
