Charity – Jamie Owens Collins
שבת שלום
Shabbat Shalom – Peaceful Sabbath
This beautiful song is taken from the Holy Word of God about charity,
1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and have not charity, I have become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profits me nothing.
4 Charity suffers long and is kind; charity envies not; charity vaunts not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil,
6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Charity never fails; but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away;
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass darkly, but then, face to face. Now I know in part, but then shall I know, even as also I am known.
13 And now abides faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity”
1 Corinthians 13
Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.
Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.
“The Spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him who hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17
