A major 6.7 magnitude quake hit Halmahera, Indonesia, on June 4, 2020, at 0850 UTC, at a depth of 127 km / 79 mi, reported NWS PTWC.

The NWS PTWC issued a Tsunami Information Statement on June 4, 2020, at 0857 UTC.
