Billy Preston – My Sweet Lord

(lyrics below)

שבת שלום

Shabbat Shalom = A Peaceful Sabbath

It has been a long time waiting, for certain, but the signs of the times are here and we are ever closer to the Lord’s return. Have you been disappointed year after year, waiting for His appearance? Take heart; His promises are sure.

The Word tells us,

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9

The Lord already warned us that we might believe He is “slack concerning His promise.” He has waited patiently for wayward souls, many who had praying mothers and grandmothers, but who have trifled with God and continuously become entangled with the world.

The Word also tells us,

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” 1 John 2:15

The Lord is waiting for wayward, backslidden souls to let go of this sinful world and place all of their faith and trust in Him, to give Him their love and attention. He doesn’t want you to be lost forever, friend, if you have tangled yourself up with the world and the things of this world. Surely, we brought nothing into this world, and we will take nothing out of here with us! We will all face God alone one day, on Judgment Day, to give an account for what we have done in this brief life, before all eternity begins. Are you ready to face Him?

If not, come home, beloved; God does not want you to perish. We have a glorious home waiting, one not made with hands:

“But as it is written, ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him’” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.

“The Spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him who hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17

George Harrison’s intention was to mingle the Hebrew praise, “Halelujah,” and the Hare Krishna praise, “Hare Krishna,” in the song, but I have removed the lyrics (below) where “Hare Krishna” begins. All praise honor and glory go to the One and only true God. Halelujah (more literally “halelu Yah”) is the English transliteration for the Hebrew word הַלְלוּ יָהּ‎, which means “praise God.”

The gifts and the calling of God are without repentance (Romans 11:29). This song was gifted to George Harrison from God; the anointing is in the song; you can feel it. God gave gifts to George Harrison to use for His glory, but Harrison failed. He loved the world and the things that are in the world. I hope he repented before he took his last breath, because after that, we face judgment. I caution you not to sing “Hare Krishna,” nor give it any regard, because Harrison made a very wrong turn when he added “Hare Krishna” to the song; it is blasphemy. We are all here to make a choice; God gives us the opportunity here and now to make the choice, not of a lifetime, but the choice of eternity. Don’t blow it; don’t make the wrong choice. Sing Halelujah and enjoy the song. Turn this song into one wholly given to praising God Almighty and sing “Halelujah!”

My Sweet Lord

My sweet Lord

Oh, my Lord

My sweet Lord

I really want to see You

I really want to be with You

I really want to see You, Lord

But it takes so long, my Lord

My sweet Lord

Oh, my Lord; oh, my Lord

I really want to know You

I really want to go with You

I really want to show You, Lord

That it won’t take long, my Lord

Halelujah

My sweet Lord

Halelujah

Oh, my Lord

Halelujah

My sweet Lord

Halelujah

I really want to see You

I really want to see You

I really want to see You, Lord

I really want to see You, Lord

But it takes so long, my Lord

Halelujah

Oh, my Lord

Halelujah

My sweet Lord

Halelujah

Oh, my Lord

Halelujah

Halelujah

I really want to see You

Halelujah

I really want to see You, Lord

But it takes so long, my Lord

Halelujah

My sweet Lord

Halelujah,

Oh, my Lord

Halelujah

My sweet Lord

Halelujah

My sweet Lord
