WHEAT FEAST OF WEEKSJESUS WEARING A TALIT

Please be advised that WordPress includes advertisements on this site; they are not selected by the publisher

This feast, Pentecost, or Shavuot (שָׁבוּעוֹת) in Hebrew (which means “Weeks,” because Jews count 7 weeks from the day after Firstfruits begins, then they honor Shavuot), is a celebration of the wheat harvest (Leviticus 23:15-22) and Jews also commemorate God giving His Holy Word to Moses. Jesus, Yeshua, is also known as the “Word” (1 John 5:7). It was on the very day of Pentecost, Shavuot, that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples of Christ, who had all gathered in an upper room in Jerusalem to await this promise from God, which Jesus told them about (Acts 1:3-9; Acts 2), as foretold by the prophet Joel (Joel 2:28-29). This is the reason those of us who believe are also called “Pentecostals.”

If you aren’t saved, please click on the How Can I Be Saved link (below). If you are saved, but you haven’t received the gift of the Holy Spirit yet, read Joel 2:28-29 and Acts 2, pray and wait for the promise! The gift of the Holy Spirit is promised to all (Acts 2:17), and sometimes we have to wait on the Lord for it, but the gift will come! God bless you all and Happy Shavuot!

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.

“The Spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him who hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17
