Jews around the world are celebrating סוכות, the Feast of Tabernacles, this week, until October 9 at sunset, in commemoration of how God led the children of Israel out of Egypt and that they dwelt in booths/tabernacles during their journey through the wilderness.
Now many Christians also celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in commemoration of the deliverance of the Jews from Egypt and their dwelling in booths during their journey through the wilderness, but also to commemorate that God tabernacles with His children now and forever.
The Word tells us,
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a loud voice saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’ Then He Who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new;’ and He said to me, ‘Write, for these Words are true and faithful’” Revelation 21:1-5
Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.
Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass.
