Yahweh – Hillsong
שבת שלום
(Shabbat Shalom = A Peaceful Sabbath)
Even some Messianic Jews today are still afraid to say the name of יהוה, (Yahweh, God’s Most Holy Name in Hebrew). God’s Most Holy Name, however, is written time and time again throughout the Torah and God told the patriarchs His Most Holy Name. He never once instructed them not to say His Most Holy Name. It is the suspicion of Jews that since we don’t know exactly how Yahweh is pronounced since ancient times, we should not pronounce it at all. Well, that’s nice, very nice, and no one should judge the traditions of Messianic Jews, if they wish to be that careful; nevertheless, man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). The stiffnecked wife of David also thought he was foolish for dancing with all of his heart before God in the street, but apparently God didn’t think so, when one considers God’s love for David. If anyone believes that God turns away from thousands of young people crying and singing out to God in worship, with their hands raised up, praising “Yahweh,” and that there is even a slim chance that the Lord would turn away from them and their praises, even if they did pronounce His Most Holy Name incorrectly, they still don’t know who God really is and they surely need to take the straight-up rod out of their backs and relax just a little, enough to know that our Almighty God in heaven loves these kids and their praises, even if they didn’t know how to exactly pronounce His Most Holy Name.
God bless you all and have a peaceful Sabbath
