CHEERS AT SUNDANCE FOR SATANIC TEMPLE’S ‘HAIL SATAN?’
With tens of thousands of people in attendance annually, the Sundance Film Festival drew crowds of cheering fans to the documentary “Hail Satan?” during its premier on January 25, 2019.
Members of the Satanic Temple produced the film in a relatively successful attempt to dupe the masses into believing they actually don’t worship satan.
The Satanic Temple holds out that they don’t worship satan, or even believe in him, but they use the name only as a political platform for equal rights.
Well, yes, they do serve satan, according to the Word of God:
“Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are that you obey, whether of sin, which leads to death (the second death [Revelation 20:14]), or of obedience to righteousness?” Romans 6:16 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
In other words, Satanic Temple members who go around bringing litigation against governments in order to remove Biblical monuments, like the Ten Commandments, from public places, or to place a Baphomet (satanic statue) next to Christian monuments, are servants of satan by their deeds, if not by overt worship.
Satanic Temple members fulfill satan’s purposes by their actions and they have “opened a door” to the evil spiritual realm. They have even opened a portal for demonic possession.
Jesus said,
“You are of your father the devil and you will fulfill the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and did not abide in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own self, for he is a liar and the father of lies” John 8:44 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
Satan is the great deceiver.
“The great dragon was cast out (of heaven), that old serpent called the devil, satan, who deceives the whole world (God’s people are not of the world [John 15:19], so they are not deceived); he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him” Revelation 12:9 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
Do you believe satan is going to ignore the fact that these people use his name? Not a chance. He hears, and they have drawn him close, if not right into themselves! Satan is always looking for vulnerabilities and an open door to get your soul.
The Word of God tells us,
“Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour” 1 Peter 5:8
People generally don’t purchase Ouija Boards for the purpose of worshiping satan, but many people have been afflicted by such dabbling into the spiritual realm. The movie The Exorcist was based on the real life story of a boy who became demon-possessed after he started using his aunt’s Ouija Board. His case is only one example among many.
The Word also tells us,
“Do not give place to the devil (do not give the enemy of your eternal soul an open door to enter)” Ephesians 4:27 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
If you made the grave error of delving into any of the things which are forbidden in God’s Holy Word, and which are demonic in nature, there are remedies, if one has not “crossed a line” with God (Romans 1:21-32). If a person still has a conscience, that is indicative they have not crossed the line.
The Word of God tells us,
“Submit yourselves, therefore, to God; resist the devil and he will flee from you” James 4:7
“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal (of the natural realm), but mighty through God to the pulling down of (satanic) strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4
These passages of scripture were written to Christians, who were already aware of the need to pray and ask for God’s hand of protection.
If you aren’t saved yet and you want deliverance from demonic forces, there are some things you need to know and steps you can take to secure your salvation through Christ Jesus, and rid yourself of demonic oppression:
- Repent of your sins
- After you repent, ask God to place His hand of protection over you
- If satan attacks you in any form, say this, “I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, soul and body” (If you aren’t prepared for spiritual warfare, God will hear this plea, and satan will have to flee! Only “plead the blood” if you are willing to repent and surrender all to God, and He will hear you.)
- Commit all of your ways to the Lord
- Pray on a regular basis, especially at the start of your day
- Read God’s Word daily, while praying and asking Him for the interpretation (Matthew Henry’s Commentary on the Whole Bible is a helpful tool in understanding the scriptures)
- Do not allow the devil any avenues of entry back into your life
The Word of God tells us,
“Do not be deceived, evil communications will corrupt you” 1 Corinthians 15:33 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
If you want the devil out of your life, you need to adhere to God’s commandments. Do not allow yourself to be influenced by people who live sinful lifestyles and don’t go to the places they congregate: bars; places where drugs, liquor and rock music are used; sinful parties; hanging out with those who use filthy language; being in the company of those who indulge in fornication (deviant sexual practices, such as homosexuality, adultery, transgenderism and bisexual sins). *We can meet with these people in a neutral setting (not their environment) for the purpose of witnessing to them and leading them to Christ.
Deliverance is available to most people (there are some reprobates who are not redeemable), if they are serious about serving God, and turning their backs on evil. Once a person is delivered, it is imperative to follow the guidelines provided above, because satan is always looking for an avenue back into your life, and if that happens, a much worse condition follows:
“When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking a place to rest, but finds none. Then he says, I will return into my house from which I came out, and when he returns, he finds it empty, swept and appealing. Then he goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than himself and they enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be in this wicked generation” Matthew 12:43-45 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
I laid my hands over this message and I prayed (with fasting [Matthew 17:14-21]), for those who need deliverance. If you are sincere, place your hands over your screen and pray the following prayer:
“God, I believe in Your Son Jesus, that He died to pay the penalty for my sins. Forgive me of all my sins; I forsake them, and I receive Jesus as my Savior. Deliver me from satan’s power and satanic influences. Sanctify me and make me holy, a clean vessel to be used of God. I renounce the ways of eternal hell, and I receive your promise of eternal life, in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
If you sincerely prayed that prayer, you are a child of God and joint heirs with Christ Jesus (Romans 8:12-19) to the Kingdom of God! Welcome to the family of God! You now have power over the enemy of your soul in the name of Jesus! *Never doubt. Salvation is free to all who believe and then follow Jesus.
The Word of God tells us,
“They shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun (east). When the enemy (satan) comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” Isaiah 59:19 (ET – Elim אֵילִם Translation)
The devil will attempt to regain control of your life; he always does, but there is power in the name of Jesus! Satan doesn’t want you to understand that fact, so he may confront you powerfully; but I promise you, if you say, “I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, soul and body,” the devil will flee – every time! That is the power we have in the NAME OF JESUS and IN HIS REDEEMING BLOOD!
The Word of God is food for our spirits. Without Spiritual food, God’s Holy Word, we will starve spiritually, just as our natural bodies would starve without natural food. It is critical that you pray, read God’s Word daily and flee from all evil. Refer to the list of above, if you need a reminder.

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior; unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6).
