A major 6.7 magnitude quake hit the Kermadec Islands region on March 14, 2020, at 1001 UTC, at a depth of 27 km / 17 mi, reported the NWS Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The PTWC issued a Tsunami Information Statement on March 14, 2020, at 1009 UTC.
