More Harbingers

Several years ago, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn wrote two national best sellers, The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah. He tied many of the historical harbingers that were demonstrated against ancient Israel, when the nation sinned against God, to the harbingers that manifested surrounding the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center, which were nothing less than astonishing.

Rabbi Cahn has pointed out in more recent prophetic conferences that the harbingers are continuing to manifest in America since he wrote The Harbinger.

It is remarkable how God has blessed Rabbi Cahn with revelation, after revelation, during the end times and how the Lord has escalated his ministry from a relatively small group in New Jersey, to an international ministry, Hope of the World, with what can only be termed as “God speed.”

I don’t believe Rabbi Cahn mentioned in the book that a fellow Christian sent him an email only two days before the Twin Towers fell on 9-11, explaining to him that he had a profound dream of standing near the World Trade Center (WTC), as a mighty angel pointed to the towers and they began to demolish to the ground, as people fled from the buildings.

Only a year before 9-11, Rabbi Cahn led his small congregation to the WTC, feeling led by God to pray at that location for America.

Something else occurred during 9-11, which was not known or included in The Harbinger. A photographer snapped a photo of some of the debris at ground zero, just before being ushered away from the area. When he developed the film, he noticed a page from a Bible that had been torn out by the blast. The page contained a passage from Isaiah 9:10, “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” The photographer began to weep. These were Israel’s words of defiance after Jerusalem’s walls were breached by enemies, after being warned by the prophet to repent.

Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, likely without realizing it was a statement of defiance, read the same passage of scripture from Isaiah 9:10 on September 12, 2001! Because of their defiance, the Prophet Isaiah told Israel that the Lord would join their enemies together and “set up the adversaries of Rezin” against them (Isaiah 9:11), which is exactly what happened. The Kingdom of Rezin was tributary to the Assyrians, terrorists, which kingdoms have issued the same Muslim terrorists we see threatening and terrorizing Israel, the United States and other nations all over the world today.

Because of America’s lack of repentance, and her leaders even repeating the same defiant words spoken by Israel when God allowed a (warning) breach against the walls of Jerusalem by his enemies, the harbingers of warning continue against America.

In fact, during the Shemitah (seven-year Sabbath) of 2015, we saw the greatest Stock Market crash since the last Shemitah of 2008. The Stock Market crashed and produced the greatest global collapse of trade since the Shemitah of 2008. This Shemitah (2015) was the worst year for the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) in the history of the BDI. Some factors collapsed 80 percent; it produced the greatest collapse in oil since 2008; it collapsed commodities, earnings and retail profit.

China was the center of world economy going into the 2015 Shemitah, but 43 percent of China’s markets were wiped out in 2015. That was the greatest crash in world history.

The Shemitah of 2015 was the worst year to make money in 78 years, since the Great Depression.

There was a great historical sycamore tree at the corner of ground zero, within the grounds of St Paul’s Chapel in New York City, that was struck on 9-11. It was later replaced with an erez tree, called the Tree of Hope. Part of Israel’s ancient statement of defiance in Isaiah 9:10 says, “…the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” The erez tree is a cedar.

This replacement didn’t impress God in the least. In fact, as hard as they worked to keep the Tree of Hope alive, even replacing the soil and treating the branches, that erez tree died in the spring of 2014.

Because of Rabbi Cahn’s book, The Harbinger, people from all over the United States have visited the roots of the sycamore tree on display and the erez Tree of Hope. Now, the Tree of Hope is dead, which is an ominous sign of impending judgment against this nation for the unrepentant sins of America.

Donald Trump’s presidency is an answer to the prayers of God’s people, and his presidency has brought about a sign of relief for the children of God; and an opportunity still extended to America to repent, turn away from sin and give thanks to a merciful God.

The return of the Lord for his saints is imminent, after which event, seven years of the greatest tribulation known to man will befall the earth (Matthew 24:21). Today is the day of salvation, because tomorrow could be too late. People can be saved during the tribulation, but they will have to refuse the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:16-18) and be beheaded (Revelation 20:4).

The Harbinger

Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic rabbi, is the pastor of the Jerusalem Center / Beth Israel in Wayne, New Jersey. The Lord gave Jonathan a revelation of how the ancient Shemitah (seventh sabbatical year) reveals the fulfillment of prophecy in America today, as it did in ancient Israel.

I heard about his best selling book, The Harbinger, when it was released in 2012; but since I always have a stack of about four to six books I haven’t read yet, I put off purchasing it.

When Jonathan appeared as a guest speaker at Perry Stone’s 2014 Prophetic Summit, I heard him speak about The Harbinger mystery and I decided I had to purchase the book. I wasn’t disappointed. The book is written in story fashion, but all of the prophetic elements within the story are absolutely true and astonishing.

Two years prior to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, Jonathan had a foreboding about the towers and World Trade Center. He gathered with other Christians to pray at Ellis Island, as he sensed a possible terrorist attack at that location.

Jonathan’s future wife, Renata, cancelled an appointment she had at the WTC at the last moment on the day of the attacks. After the terrorist attacks, Jonathan did some research, as he was led of the Lord, and through strikingly parallel events which happened on the exact same day (the Shemitah) to ancient Israel, Jonathan discovered nine harbingers, warnings, given to Israel before their destruction. The same signs are being given to America, on exactly the same day, the ancient Shemitah, which arrives every seven years!

Prominent American politicians, even the president, have, word-for-word, reiterated the same defiance as did ancient Israel! Jonathan knew he had to write a book about his discoveries, but he had never authored a book before.

As he sat in a North Carolina airport on his way to speak at a Promise Keepers conference, he bowed his head to pray about God’s commission and how he would accomplish it. As he finished praying, he noticed a man sitting next to him, looking at him. The man said, “What’s the word?” Jonathan began witnessing to him. The man was Hubie Synn, a Christian accountant, who also has the gift of prophecy. Synn told David Tyree, a Christian and receiver for the New York Giants, that God was going to “highlight his skills.” Later, at the 2008 Super Bowl, Tyree caught Eli Manning’s pass, pressing the ball against his helmet. This move became an internet sensation and Tyree’s catch has been dubbed “the greatest play in Super Bowl history.”

As Jonathan and Hubie witnessed to one another, Hubie suddenly began to prophesy over Jonathan. He told Jonathan that he had written a very important book and “God is about to do something big.” Hubie then referred Jonathan to Steve Strang, founder of Charisma Media, who also published Tyree’s book, More Than Just a Catch.

People in the world today do not want to hear about prophetic warnings, but Jonathan said he is motivated by love to write and speak about The Harbinger and Shemitah prophecies. He explained to Sid Roth on his program, It’s Supernatural, “If you see people who are in danger of calamity and you don’t warn them, and you say nice things to them and make them feel good, that’s not love. If you love them, you will sound the alarm. You will plead with them and you will do everything you can, even if it costs you, to get them saved. That’s what love is.”

About 2,700 years ago, God gave ancient Israel a specific warning, along with nine signs of things to come, if they did not repent and return to Him. The same harbingers of destruction are reappearing in America. In 732 BC, after God warned Israel through the prophets to repent to no avail, God removed His hedge of protection and allowed his enemies to invade Israel, as another warning, in that complete destruction had not come to Israel yet. The Prophet Isaiah recorded Israel’s defiance to this warning, “The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars” Isaiah 9:10.

Prophetically, but without realizing what he was doing, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle read Isaiah 9:10 on September 12, 2001!

The harbingers continued against ancient Israel, as warnings, in that God is longsuffering and not willing that any should perish. In like manner, America’s hedge of protection was removed during the 9/11 terror attacks. America’s leaders also responded, not with repentance and humility, but with the exact same words of defiance.

America is in a heap of trouble, but each one of us individually has a choice to separate ourselves from the judgment of God.
