A Message For Catholics

The Word of God says,

“Let the fear of the Lord be on you, for there is no sin with God and no respect of one person above another person, and God does not take gifts.”  2 Chronicles 19:7

When Jesus died on the cross for the sins of everyone who had ever been born, or that will ever be born, he paid the price for the sins of everyone. The Bible tells us that we only need to believe in Jesus, repent and follow His teachings to be saved.  His death was a free gift to everyone. The Bible says,

“John saw Jesus coming to him and he said, Behold the lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world” John 1:29.

There are problems in the Catholic Church and their teachings deviate from the fundamental truth of the Bible. I can demonstrate to Catholics, from the scriptures, that they have strayed from the doctrine of truth found in the Word of God. Catholics need to recognize that the following teachings are not correct:

1)  Catholics bow down and worship idols of the saints and the Virgin Mary.

The Bible tells us,

“You shall not make graven images, or any likeness that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water” Exodus 20:4.

This is the second of the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20.  The first commandment is,

“Have no other gods before Me” Exodus 20:3.

Catholics bow down before, worship and pray to idols of the saints and the Virgin Mary. The Word of God tells us,

There is one God and one mediator (not two or more) between God and men, the man Christ JesusI Timothy 2:5.

“He (Jesus) broke down the middle wall of partition between us…for through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father” Ephesians 2:14,18.

The Holy Word of God says there is only one mediator between God and men.” What this means is that you can pray before idols of the saints and Mary all day long and they cannot mediate your prayers before God; it is against the Word of God. Jesus is our mediator (the one who hears our prayers and takes them before God) and there is no other. It is against God’s Word for people to pray before idols, worship them, pray to the saints and pray to Mary. As wonderful and blessed as the saints and Mary are, they cannot take the place of Jesus, and what Catholics do is against God’s Word and it is described as “idolatry” in the Word of God. The temple, until Christ’s death, had a large veil between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies, where the priest went yearly to make atonement for the sins of the people.  The scriptures tell us that when Christ died on the cross,

“The veil of the temple was torn from the top to the bottom” Mark 15:38.

This was an extremely thick veil and could not have been torn by a man’s hand and it would have been very difficult even with an instrument.  There were many layers of cloth within this one veil in the temple, which separated the priests from the Holy of Holies, where the presence of God was.  Paul said in Ephesians 2:18 that we have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”  The New Testament teaches us plainly in many passages that Christ became the mediator, High Priest, and we have no more need of a high priest on earth, but can come boldly before the throne of grace to repent, each one for ourselves (Hebrews 4:16).  To say we need a priest to receive our confessions, in order that he can make intercession for us to God, is literally an attempt to replace Jesus Christ as our mediator. This too is idolatry. Peter said to the saints, new converts in fact, in I Peter 2:5, “You are like lively stones and build up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”  I Peter 2:9 says, “You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show praises to Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”  If you read the Bible for yourself, it is very clear to see that when Christ died, and the hand of God Himself tore the veil in the temple from top to bottom (the temple stood about 40 feet high, so no man could have torn it), which had separated men from Himself, we no longer needed priests on this earth to go before God for us, but Jesus Christ became our High Priest and is, Himself, our mediator between us and the Father. The Bible says,

“Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the Ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake and the rocks rent” Matthew 27:50-51.

2)  The Catholic Church forbids priests to marry and at various times throughout the history of the church, they forbid to eat meat on Fridays.

The scriptures clearly tell us that an apostate church would exist in the last days, which would deviate from the faith by not allowing marriage or eating meat.

“Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth”
I Timothy 4:1-3.

Honestly, I can’t think of another religious sect, other than the Catholic Church, that fits this profile. For many years Catholics were forbidden to eat meat on Fridays and to this day, the nuns and priests are forbidden to marry, which has caused all sorts of sexual sins within the Catholic Church, the worst being pedophilia and homosexuality among the priests. These types of sins are an abomination in the eyes of God, according to the scriptures, Romans 1:27, “Men, leaving the natural use of women, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men, working that which is vile.”  Also in Leviticus 20:13, the Bible says, “If a man lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination, they shall be surely put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

3) Catholics call their priests “Father.”

CATHOLIC PRIESTS

Jesus said, “Call no man your father upon the earth, for one is your Father, which is in heaven” Matthew 23:9.  Nevertheless, the Catholics call all of the priests “Father.” Jesus specifically said not to do that and it is forbidden, so it perplexes me totally that Catholics do this, as well as all of the above, when the scriptures specifically teach against them.

4) Catholics believe in Purgatory.

Catholics misquote the scripture which states a man’s works can be burned in the fire, but his soul can be saved (1 Corinthians 3:15). This is exactly right. If a man is confused, or he sins, and his works are not righteous, they will not produce a reward for such a man, and all may be lost, but the Bible tells us this man can be saved, even if his works that he has done were wrong, or sinful. As long as a man repents before he leaves this world, from the sincerity of his heart, his deeds may have been wrong, or evil, but he himself will be saved, even as by fire (which refers to fiery trials in this life, because of the sins committed). Catholics believe this to be Purgatory, which is a gross misinterpretation of the scriptures. The scripture does not contradict itself.

Jesus spoke of two destinies, eternal life; and eternal destruction, and there is no purgatory, according to the scriptures. You won’t find the teaching anywhere in the Holy Bible.

Jesus said,

“Enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be which go in thereat; because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life and few be there that find it” Matthew 7:13-14.

Jesus never spoke of Purgatory between those two paths, nor is such a place found anywhere in the Bible. Catholics made up Purgatory so they could charge people money to pray dead loved ones out of “Purgatory,” but there is no such place, and charging people money to “pray” is abominable. Prayer is for the purpose of coming before God with our petitions, or to praise God, with a pure heart. Associating the collection of money to “pray” for any purpose is abominable! The Bible tells us that a man named Simon offered to purchase the gift of the Holy Ghost!

“When Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands, the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Your money perish with you, because you thought the gift of God may be purchased with money” Acts 8:18-20.

Throughout the Bible, the Word of God tells us that salvation is free; all of God’s gifts are free and cannot be purchased. Jesus said,

“He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned” Mark 16:16.

Certainly money cannot purchase salvation, nor buy souls out of Purgatory, because there is no Purgatory!

5) Catholics believe in paying for indulgences in sin.

In another endeavor to bilk money out of the common people, the Catholic clerics came up with the idea of selling indulgences in sin. The Word of God says,

“Behold, all souls are Mine, as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine. The soul that sins shall die” Ezekiel 18:4.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (transgenders), nor abusers of themselves with mankind (homosexuals), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the Kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

The Word of God clearly tells us not to sin, and if we sin, we have an advocate with the Father (1 John 2:1). The souls that sins and does not repent will die and enter hell (Revelation 20:12-15). Any “priest” that would dare say he has the power to allow people to sin and get away with it, for the price of money, has committed an abomination. Throughout the Word of God we are told not to sin, and unrepented sin leads souls into hell. The fact that the Catholic Church would dare “sell indulgences” is nothing less than damnable heresy.

If you are a member, or attend the Catholic Church, I recommend that you pray and study these and other scriptures for yourself, in order to learn what the truth really is.  The Word of God also tells us, “Thus says the Lord, cursed be the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm (strength), and whose heart departs from the Lord” Jeremiah 17:5.  No man, except Jesus Himself, can give you pardon from sins; not since the death of Jesus, there is no other mediator between God and man (I Timothy 2:5).

Finally, because of these deviations and the apostasy gone rampant in the Catholic Church, God warns His people, who truly worship Him, to come out of “her” (the Catholic Church) in Revelation 18:4-5,

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, ‘Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues, for her sins have reached unto heaven and God has remembered her iniquities.'”

In fact, if you read the entire chapter of Revelation 18, it is a perfect description of the Catholic Church, right down to the color of the priestly robes (verse 16). God has not forgotten the millions of Christians and Jews slain during the Inquisition, the severe torture inflicted upon human beings by the Catholic Church, and in the latter days (soon), God is going to destroy the Vatican with fire (Revelation 18:18). So, again, God is saying,

“…Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues” Revelation 18:4-5.

My prayer is that every Catholic will come to know the real truth in Christ Jesus for themselves, by reading the Bible for themselves, not depending on anyone else to explain it to them.  Don’t take my word for any of this, please open the Bible and read it for yourself.  The Bible also tells us,

“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” Philippians 2:12.

This means, you are not supposed to look to anyone to help you get to God, you have a responsibility to read the Word of God for yourself and know the way to God, then make certain your minister adheres to the Word of God that you already know is true, not tradition or fables.  God bless you.

Excerpt from Fox’s Book of Martyrs:

An Account of the Persecutions in Italy Under the Papacy

In the twelfth century, the first persecutions under the papacy began in Italy, at the time that Adrian, an Englishman, was Pope.

…Galeacius, a Protestant gentleman, who resided near the castle of St Angelo, was apprehanded on account of his faith. Great endeavors being used by his friends, he recanted, and subscribed to several of the superstitious doctrines propogated by the Church of Rome. Becoming, however, sensible of his error, he publicly renounced his recantation. Being apprehended for this, he was condemned to be burnt, and agreeable to the order, was chained to a stake, where he was left for several hours before the fire was put to the fagots, in order that his wife, relations and friends, who surrounded him, might induce him to give up his opinions. Galeacius, however, retained his constancy of mind and entreated the executioner to put fire to the wood that was to burn him. This at length he did and Galeacious was soon consumed in the flames, which burnt with amazing rapidity and deprived him of sensation in a few minutes. Soon after this genteman’s death, a great number of Protestants were put to death in various parts of Italy on account of their faith, giving a sure proof of their sincereity in their martyrdoms.

Countless others were martyred by burning alive, being flayed alive, placed on racks until their bones were broken, their flesh torn with red hot pincers, buried alive, drowned, hung on gallows, strangled, chopped to pieces, beheaded, etc…by the Catholic Popes from the twelfth century through the 1820s, according to dates provided in Fox’s Book of Martyrs.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t tolerate to see an insect suffer. I am either compelled to assist it to live, or put it out of its misery immediately. Burn a human being alive? That prospect is outside of my imagination.

Nevertheless, numerous Popes and countless priests effected the barbaric deaths of multitudes, confiscating the wealth of all who suffered under their vile persecutions.

The Vatican sits atop the blood of the saints. Evil spirits are territorial. We know this by Daniel’s account of the prince of Persia’s battle against the archangel Gabriel. The prince of Persia was a fallen angel who dwelt within the realm of Persia. Gabriel also told Daniel that the prince of Grecia would also come to the fray, another fallen angel over the territory of Greece.

Do you suppose evil, vicious Popes and priests lived during the Inquisition, fanning the fires of the persecutions of the saints for centuries, yet didn’t leave evil spirits to embody the Popes and priests who carried on after their decease? The evil spirits that possessed the Popes and priests of the past, those very ones who inflicted unimaginable barbarities against Protestant Christians, continue to live on within the Popes and priests of recent years, you can be certain, because they continue in the same heresies, and they now molest countless children throughout the world. They have learned to leave adults, who are able to fight back, alone, and they have turned their evil attentions toward innocent children (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_Church_sexual_abuse_cases). This is exactly why we read about her (Catholic church) demise in Revelation 18, for their abominations committed and for the precious blood of the saints they spilled during the Inquisition.

“…Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues” Revelation 18:4-5.

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away.
