WHAT WILL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SOUL

I was a little perplexed at the following scripture and thought perhaps there was an error in the translation, but it reads the same in the original Greek, when I checked it:

“What does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul; or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26.

The last part of the scripture says, “…or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” I thought it should read, “or what shall a man receive in exchange for his soul?” You know, if some gives his soul away to the devil, what should he “receive” in exchange for it?

I prayed about this passage of scripture, when I noticed what appeared to be an error, and as I prayed and looked up the scripture in the original Greek, the Lord answered my prayer.

He revealed to me, as I read that passage of scripture again, that it was not incorrect. He caused me to realize that if a man gives away his soul for the pleasures of sin, he isn’t really going to get anything back in exchange for it; rather, he is going to suffer more loss than he can ever imagine. No amount of money, or pleasures in this world, can compensate, not only for the loss of his soul, but the loss of his peace, his health in many cases, and perhaps much more in this life.

A man, or woman, who gives away his/her soul will not actually gain anything in this life for it, only misery, heartache, loss of peace, sometimes health, often times their marriage – possibly losing everything, only to enjoy sin for a short while. He isn’t gaining anything by giving up his soul for sin, and the passage of scripture is written correctly, with absolute truth. Such a man not only will lose his soul, but he gives up many things in this life in exchange for sin.

What will you GIVE in exchange for your soul? In other words, consider what you stand to lose in this life because of your sins, in addition to your eternal soul!

Losing one’s eternal soul should be enough to deter us; but since many people don’t think past today, how about considering what you will give up in this life for your sins?

Often times, these are the losses one will suffer for their sins:

SINS

There are so many more sins and potential losses.

Jesus said,

“The thief (referring to satan) comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10.

He also said,

“If a son asks for bread of any of you who is a father, will he give him a stone? If he asks for a fish, will he, instead of a fish, give him a serpent? If he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children; how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” Luke 11:11-13.

Not only will the Lord give His children life more abundantly on this earth, but He will also give us His Spirit to discern what is good, a good choice, or bad, and to avoid those things satan plants as traps and for destruction.

Jesus offers abundant life in this world, and eternal life hereafter —

Satan offers the momentary pleasure of sin for a short time in this world, which bring eternal damnation in hell.

There are only two choices. Which do you choose?

HEAVEN BRILLIANT or MOUTH OF HELL

“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23.

The decision is easy for the wise.

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior; unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate (Romans 1:21-32). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. SLEEP

Screen shot: YouTube.com

THE PEOPLE OF GOD START THEIR DAY WITH REST

The start of each day for Israelis and Orthodox Jews begins at sunset, as ordained of God (Genesis 1:5).

Isn’t it interesting how God’s people, including Christians who are grafted in as Jews (Romans 11:16-27), start their day in the evening and lay down to rest and go to sleep?

There is great spiritual significance behind the days that God instituted, versus the manner in which the secular, or godless, world lives.

While the rest of the world is starting their official day from 12:01 am, with only a few hours rest before rushing to work; the Jew starts his day at sunset, and he reclines at the very start of his day.

There is a very important message from God to His people regarding the manner in which He structured their day:

Jesus revealed it very clearly when He said,

“Come unto Me, all of you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (at the very start of your day). Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30.

Isn’t that Just like God to give us a complete and thorough rest at the start of our day? After we rest and we prepare to go out and do something with the remainder of the day, at sunrise, He also promised to go with us!

“…I will never leave you, nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5.

He also promised not to allow us more temptation than we can bear:

“There has no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

One of the greatest benefits of serving the Lord is the peace He promised for His people:

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives… Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” John 14:27.

Nobody ever had it so good! These are all of the wonderful things God has done for His children, things money can’t buy:

  • Complete rest at the start of your day, not at the end of your day (symbolic of God’s rest within the hearts and minds of His people)
  • God goes with us, He never leaves us
  • He promised never to allow us more temptation than we are able to bear
  • He gives us His blessed peace, much greater peace than the world could ever know

There you have it. Who wouldn’t want to have a close relationship with the Lord?

Most of the world, apparently, and according to Bible prophecy. Not many will consider the benefits of living godly, because they want to “enjoy the passing pleasures of sin” (Hebrews 11:24-26). Not many fully perceive that they will pass from this life and face God in judgment some day.

The Word of God tells us,

“Enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many go in thereat; because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life (eternal), and few find it” Matthew 7:13-14.

People don’t realize that the very sins that they have forsaken the Lord for, are actually the things that will destroy them, not only in this life (HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis, addiction, depression, stress, trouble, sorrow…ultimately leading to death…), but also eternally, in the fires of hell.

Jesus said,

“Come unto Me, all of you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28.

The message from the Lord is this:

Don’t wait until you are tired, wasted and destitute mentally, physically and spiritually; come to the Lord now and He will give you rest at the start of every day.

Every Christian is called into the Lord’s rest at all times, no matter what the situation is.

The Word of God tells us,

“Cast all of your care upon Him, for He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior; unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate (Romans 1:21-32). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

TRADITIONS

Screen shot: YouTube.com

TRADITIONS OF MEN

Throughout history, since ancient times, men have suffered a major problem receiving direction and instruction from God, which leads to an intimate relationship and receiving divine revelations from Him. There is a powerful resistance within man to God, by way of following the traditions of men.

How can we know this?

There is, figuratively speaking, a church on every corner in cities throughout America, and most of them basically use the same Bible, but most of them teach a different doctrine; that’s how we know this is true.

God brought this message to me very clearly this morning, as I was reading a passage of scripture in Hebrew. Being just an elementary student of the Hebrew text, I was only able to understand three Words of that particular Hebrew scripture, “Bethlehem Ephratah,” “Judah,” and “Israel.” I felt certain, from these Words, that I knew which scripture it was, but I couldn’t remember where exactly it was located in the English Bible, so I entered “Bethlehem Ephratah” into my concordance to find the location.

I came to only three matches, one in Ruth 4:11, one in 1 Chronicles 4:4, and the last in Micah 5:2. Knowing this scripture about “Bethlehem Ephratah (and) Judah” was prophetic about where our Messiah would be born, I knew right away it would be in Micah 5:2:

“You, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting” Micah 5:2 (emphasis added).

After finding the scripture I was looking for, I became curious about what the Book of Ruth had to say about “Bethlehem Ephratah,” because I couldn’t remember what was said about the city in that book.

I checked the scripture in Ruth 4:11, and I sat there and cried because of the revelation given to me by the Lord.

The passage brought me to the part in the story of Ruth, when Boaz sat down at the gate of the city to redeem her and her mother-in-law, Naomi, after Ruth prepared herself and went and lay at his feet, under his mantle, on the threshing floor. When he awoke to find her there, Boaz determined he would marry her. Before he could do that, he had to settle the matter of Naomi’s dead husband’s property, because according to the laws of Israel, the one who redeemed his property had the right to marry Ruth first; Boaz was only second in line to redeem the property and marry Ruth.

Boaz went and sat down at the gate of the city, which was customary to conduct business and settle such matters, and he waited for the “first in line” (to redeem Ruth) to walk by, and he called him, along with ten other elders in the city (to be witnesses), to sit by him at the gate. They all came and sat with Boaz. He explained to the “first in line” that Elimelech’s property needed to be redeemed for the sake of Naomi and Ruth. The “first in line” declined, saying he couldn’t redeem the property and marry Ruth.

“Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, You are witnesses this day, that I have purchased all that was Elimelech’s (Naomi’s dead husband) and all that was Chilion’s (Naomi’s dead son) and Mahlon’s (Naomi’s other dead son, the former husband of Ruth) of the hand of Naomi (in her behalf)” Ruth 4:9.

What intrigued me greatly, as I continued to read, was the following prophecy included in the Book of Ruth about our Messiah, Jesus, Yeshua, because having been raised in the church since the age of one, I had never heard a message about this profound prophecy, neither had it ever caught my attention before during my studies in God’s Word:

“All the people that were at the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman (Ruth) that has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel, and do worthily in Ephratah and be famous in Bethlehem” Ruth 4:11.

These elders of Israel, in Bethlehem Ephratah, had no idea at the time that they were prophesying about the coming Messiah, just as Micah did, when he prophesied about the birthplace of Messiah:

“You, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting” Micah 5:2.

It is basically the same in the Hebrew Tanakh (only slight changes in translation):

Any reasonable Jew should know that this is a prophecy about the coming Messiah. The rest of the entire chapter speaks of His “giving up” Israel, until she “travails, then the remnant of His brethren shall return unto the children of Israel” (Micah 5:3), speaking of the Holocaust and return of the Jews to Israel); and further explains how He will “be the peace” of Israel (Micah 5:5), and deliver Israel from the Assyrian (Micah 5:6), and the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people (Micah 5:7), and the remnant of Jacob shall be among Gentiles (Micah 5:8), and His hand will be lifted up against Israel’s adversaries and their enemies shall be cut off (Micah 5:9)…and the Lord will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard (Micah 5:15), prophecies soon to be fulfilled.

Jesus, Yeshua, came out of the lineage of Boaz and Ruth, as the genealogy written in the Book of Matthew demonstrates:

“And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab, and Booz begat Obed of Ruth, and Obed begat Jesse” Matthew 1:5.

The genealogy continues…

“And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus (Yeshua), who is called Christ” Matthew 1:16.

Consider also this miraculous fact:

“So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David until the carrying away (of Jews) into Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the carrying into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations” Matthew 1:17. *Jews are very concerned with numbers, as they pertain to the Word of God.

Consider something even more profound, at least it was to me when I saw it; the prophecy that the elders in Bethlehem spoke at the gate, when Boaz announced his marriage to Ruth:

“All the people that were at the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman (Ruth) that has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel, and do worthily in Ephratah and be famous in Bethlehem” Ruth 4:11 (emphasis added).

Right after that verse, in Ruth 4:12, they spoke prophetically of another couple that would be included in the genealogy of Christ:

“And let your house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give you of this woman” Ruth 4:12.

It is basically the same in the Hebrew Tanakh (only slight changes in translation):

וִיהִ֤י בֵֽיתְךָ֙ כְּבֵ֣ית פֶּ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יָֽלְדָ֥ה תָמָ֖ר לִֽיהוּדָ֑ה מִן־הַזֶּ֗רַע אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִתֵּ֤ן יְהֹוָה֙ לְךָ֔ מִן־הַֽנַּֽעֲרָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת: (Rut)

Notice that near the start of the genealogy given by Matthew (Matthew 1:3), the same couple is included in the genealogy of Christ, that were spoken of in the Book of Ruth:

“And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar (same as Tamar), and Phares begat Esrom, and Esrom begat Aram” Matthew 1:3.

A reasonable Jew would consider all of these prophetic facts, especially since they start in the Tanakh and conclude in the New Testament about the Messiah, Jesus, Yeshua, and know beyond any doubt that He fulfilled these prophecies, and so many more: Zechariah 12:10, about the Messiah being “pierced,” as detailed in Matthew 27:35, fulfilling also the prophecy of David in Psalm 22:18; Ezekiel 44:1-2, about how Messiah will enter the east gate and it will be shut until that time, and it remains shut today; and Zechariah 9:9, about how Jerusalem’s King will come to her, “having salvation, lowly, and riding upon an ass, upon the colt of an ass,” which was fulfilled by Yeshua, as detailed in Matthew 21:5; and Isaiah 7:14, about how the Lord will give a sign to Israel that a “virgin would conceive and bear a son and shall call Him Immanuel (Immanu El – God with us),” which was fulfilled and detailed in Matthew 1:18-23.

The fulfillment of these prophecies is mathematically phenomenal. The odds of the fulfillment of these prophecies, and many more I have not included here, being profoundly improbable.

A Jew cannot be certain, unless he researches for himself, that he follows the traditions of men, or the truth of God’s Holy Word. He can never know, unless he studies and reasons for himself, whether he only believes what men have handed down from generation to generation, or what the real truth is.

When people follow the traditions of men, if somewhere throughout the generations just one generation of men got it wrong, then all of the generations after them will also have it wrong.

Nevertheless, God made a promise to everyone:

“And you shall seek Me (God) and find Me, when you search for Me with all of your heart” Jeremiah 29:13 (emphasis added).

I challenge every Jew to confirm what the forefathers have told them, through sincere prayer unto God and by searching the Tanakh and studying the New Testament in the Orthodox Jewish Bible. You will never know for sure, unless you ask God yourself.

In fact, because there are churches and synagogues all over the world, with so many different doctrines it baffles the imagination, I challenge everyone, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Christians… reading this, to do your own research, while sincerely praying to God for the divine, unadulterated, TRUTH.

God will answer that prayer if you meet only one qualification: if you love the Lord with all of your heart, soul and mind (meaning you also obey Him) Jeremiah 29:13, Matthew 22:37.

When we stand before God on Judgment Day, we will stand alone to give an account. We will not be able to blame anything we believe, or anything we have done, on the rabbi, the teacher, the preacher, or our mother, or father; we will all answer to Him alone. Should we not, therefore, pray and study the Word of God for ourselves, to receive God’s divine revelation?

The Word of God tells us,

“I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire; this is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” Revelation 20:12-15.

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus, Yeshua, as their Lord and Savior; unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate (Romans 1:21-32). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING

Screen shot: YouTube.com

THE LOVE OF MONEY

Yesterday, before retiring, I decided I wanted to hear a good message by a particular preacher, among a few that I listen to now and then. I was tired and I needed to be refreshed in the Word.

I went to this particular minister’s website to watch his message that was generally posted weekly, but sadly, the weekly messages were gone. I went to that minister’s channel on You Tube and, after searching the channel, I couldn’t find a video with a message, only brief promotional videos, as he was selling his messages on CDs and DVDs.

My heart was stricken, folks. This is the second time I have seen an anointed preacher (previously anointed) take their videos and archived messages off of their websites, only to offer to sell them by CD, or DVDs – no free gospel of Christ there.

The problem with only sharing messages on CDs and DVDs is that some people really can’t afford to buy them. We are talking about the poor here; there are poor people in this world. I think maybe some ministers are so blessed they have forgotten there are poor people in the world who can barely pay for the necessities of life and there is nothing else left for CDs/DVDs!

The money-focused preacher might say if they paid their tithes and offerings faithfully, they would have plenty to buy my CDs/DVDs. The problem with that analogy is that the unsaved need to hear their messages before they learn the keys to the Kingdom and the laws of reaping and sowing!

Sure, the saints of God, who pay their tithes and offerings, are absolutely blessed and they can, without a doubt, order messages on CDs and DVDs; but what about the poor folks who aren’t even saved, who actually need to hear those messages more than anyone else? I thought to myself, don’t these ministers know that people who aren’t saved, who need to hear the Word of God more than anyone else, aren’t going to become a “partner” of their ministry, or likely order their CDs and DVDs to hear the gospel preached?

It’s not a sin to sell messages by CD/DVD if messages are also provided for free; but when a preacher only sells CDs/DVDs and offers no messages for free, he is selling the gospel – and that is an abomination!

Many preachers and evangelists today have lost sight of God’s will, His ways and the principles of the Kingdom, and their focus is on money first, winning souls last! A preacher who takes his messages off of the free website, in order to sell them only, has lost the anointing, and they will find that out sooner, or later.

The Lord God who has the power to bless them greatly, also has the power to take them down.

I won’t divulge the names of the preachers, because they can repent and be revived, and I wouldn’t want this type of criticism hanging over their ministry for the rest of their days. I will say that if they don’t heed God’s call to make the gospel free, they will either be chastised sorely, or go all the way into heresy.

The Lord laid this message on my heart about supporting ministries and collecting offerings, so I felt the Holy Ghost pressing on me to write it out and share it with the saints.

This message today starts in the Book of Exodus, chapter 35.

God gave Moses instructions on how to build the Tabernacle of God in the wilderness and He told Moses to gather offerings from the people, among those who were of “a willing heart.”

“Moses spake to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord commanded, saying, Take from among you an offering to the Lord, whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord, gold, silver and brass…And every wise hearted among you shall come and make all that the Lord has commanded…And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up and everyone whom His Spirit made willing, and they brought the Lord’s offering to the work of the Tabernacle of the congregation and for all His service and for the holy garments…The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the Lord commanded to be made by the hand of Moses” Exodus 35:4-5; 10; 20-21; 29.

The people gave from a willing heart to the Lord; they weren’t coerced.

Notice, God didn’t tell Moses to go out and offer the people a piece of the Tabernacle, or a piece of wood from the burnt offering with some ram’s blood on it, or some holy sanctified water, if they would bring an offering. God told Moses to go out and tell the people to give for the building of God’s Tabernacle, whoever is of a willing heart, that’s it!

Who do you think “stirred” up the hearts of the people to give for God’s Tabernacle? That’s right, it was God. Moses didn’t defile the intent of the people’s hearts, by offering them gifts in exchange for their offerings to God, but they were to give out of the sincerity of their hearts, otherwise, if they had given only to get something tangible for themselves, their offerings would have been defiled. This is how God operates. What you are seeing many times in the churches, on the internet, on television and radio are the concoctions of men to entice people to give. That is abominable in the sight of God. It defiles the offering!

If people do not give to God out of the sincerity of their hearts, because they want to give to God; if they are giving to get something back, like a gift, or some trinket for themselves, their giving is tainted and this type of collection defiles God’s plan and His purposes in the lives and hearts of His people.

After the people gave of their willing hearts, not being coerced, this is what happened next:

“And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal, and they brought to him free offerings every morning. All the wise men that completed the work of the sanctuary, came away from his work, and they spoke to Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to be made. Moses gave commandment then, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man, nor woman, make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary, so the people were restrained from bringing, for the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to complete it, and too much” Exodus 36:3-6.

I hope everyone, especially you pastors, evangelists and ministers, understand the principle behind what happened when God told His people what the Lord required for the building of His Tabernacle, and how the people were asked to give freewill offerings for God’s work.

When men and women of God focus on truth and light and how to minister to the people, visit the sick and pray the prayer of faith for their healing, visit those in prison and minister to the needs of the orphans, widows, fatherless, disabled, weak and poor among the saints and community, and when those men and women of God simply pray, in faith believing, and request freewill offerings, does anyone in the remotest part of their minds believe that God will not provide; in fact, believe that He will not provide to the extent that the offerings will be so much that you can tell the people not to give anymore, unless/until there is another need, besides their tithes and regular offerings?

When ministers begin to concoct gimmicks to entice people to give, that’s when ministries struggle and go bankrupt; because God has laws and principles and when those laws are broken, the people suffer and do without.

There is an exception, however. Charlatans will generally not suffer, nor do without, when they deceive the weak and gullible. Those kind will often reap bountifully for their schemes, because they are backed by satan himself, but they will face God on Judgment Day!

Ministers, why not go all out, 100 percent, for God and turn the matter over to Him? Instead of having your ushers pass the plate under the nose of every individual that attends church, why not set the collection box somewhere near the exit, so people can give without making a show of their giving (Matthew 6:1-4), and the poor who might not have something that service can leave with some peace, not intimidation, until their increase comes in.

The more you worry about money and what you are going to get, the more troubles you are going to have, ministers; but when you live a godly life and stop begging, the blessings will begin to flow; it is a promise:

“I will come near to you to judge you and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, the adulterers, against perjurers and against those who oppress wage earners, the widow and the fatherless and against those who turn away the stranger, and do not fear Me, says the Lord of hosts; for I am the Lord and I do not change; therefore, you sons of Jacob are not consumed. Even from the days of your fathers, you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts; but you said, Why should we be asked to return? Will a man rob God? You have robbed Me; but you say, How have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, so there will be meat in My house, and prove Me by this, says the Lord of hosts, and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing for you, that you will not have enough room to receive it. I will also rebuke the devourer for your sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. All nations will also call you blessed, for you will be a delightsome land, says the Lord of hosts” Malachi 3:5-12.

Does anyone read anything in there that says ministers need to sell the gospel in order to get by? Please don’t misunderstand. It is perfectly alright to sell CDs and DVDs of your sermons; after all, they cost money to make; but to sell them, yet not have your messages also available on your websites, or other media, for free to the poor, the orphans, the fatherless and widows, is an abomination in the sight of God.

Every minister who does it will stand before God in judgment. It boils down to selling the gospel, but the gospel is FREE, folks, and never to be sold!

God never called one minister to sell the gospel truth, not one! There are plenty of charlatans to go around though.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Why not take God at His Word? Encourage the saints to pay their tithes, one tenth, according to the Word of God, and give freewill offerings, as the Lord leads them, and live holy; pay your own tithes and offerings, ministries, and most importantly love and seek God with all of your heart, soul, strength and mind – and watch God open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings to you and your ministry, so much that you won’t know how to receive them!

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful that promised)” Hebrews 10:23.

God bless you with wisdom and truth.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. FEAR HAS TORMENT

Screen shot: YouTube.com

‘Fear Has Torment’

I woke up in the morning with a message for someone, perhaps many; but at least someone in particular needs deliverance from a tormenting fear.

A tormenting fear is not of God, unless it is the fear of God Himself for the conviction of sins, but that can be quickly remedied through repentance and surrender to God.

The tormenting fear of anything else is satanic; but the good news is that God offers deliverance from all kinds of fear.

The Word of God tells us,

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He who fears is not made perfected in love” 1 John 4:18.

What this means is that your love for the Lord has not been perfected, if you suffer fear, but when you surrender yourself to the Lord wholly, fully, and repent of sin, you will not fear.

Some people need help getting there, so please continue reading…

The Prophet Isaiah wrote this about the coming Messiah, Jesus:

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord…” Isaiah 61:1-2.

When Jesus entered the temple in Nazareth on the Sabbath day, He stood up to read, and the Book of Isaiah was delivered to Him. He found Isaiah 61:1-2, and read what Isaiah the prophet said about Himself (Luke 4:18-19).

Jesus, on that day in the temple, relayed this message, not only to those present, but also to the entire world:

“I Am the One that the prophet Isaiah wrote about; I Am the One who brings good tidings to the poor; I Am the One who heals the brokenhearted; I Am the One who proclaims liberty to the captives…”

The Word of God also tells us that Jesus commanded His disciples to cast out demons, heal the sick and raise the dead (Matthew 10:5-8), just as He did before He ascended up to the Father.

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and He saved you from your sins, because you confessed them and asked His forgiveness, He promised already to give you peace:

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” John 14:27.

If your sins are forgiven and you are a child of God, but satan has afflicted you with a tormenting fear, place your hands on your monitor, or phone, below, right where the following prayer and commandment is written, to receive the prayer of deliverance and the added blessing with it. Do it in faith, fully believing, for it is impossible to receive with out faith James 1:6-7: (Say the following out loud and then place your hands over the words and receive them by faith)

“In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer, I command you, spirit of fear and torment, to flee those who place their hands over this commandment in faith. In the name of Jesus, I also release God’s blessing of peace over you from this time forward, according to the Word of God.”

This type of proxy is Biblical. Even though I can’t be there with you to pray over you, this written commandment and prayer, and the method of laying your hands upon it in faith to receive it, is just as effective. An example is found in Acts 19:11-12, when Paul sent handkerchiefs to those who were sick, or who were possessed with evil spirits.

The Word of God says,

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1.

Receive this deliverance and peace by faith in the name of Jesus. It will be your own faith that brings the deliverance, and my faith with yours together.

The first thing the devil will do is tell you that you aren’t delivered and he will heap doubts upon you and try to bring fear right back. Each and every time a thought of doubt creeps into your mind, don’t entertain that thought for one minute. Rebuke it in the name of Jesus and begin to pray, rehearse scriptures relating to deliverance (Isaiah 61:1; 1 John 5:4; John 8:36) and sing songs of victory.

If you are living in willful sin, receive deliverance from that too, in the name of Jesus, because sin will hinder your deliverance. Serve the Lord with all of your heart and ask Him to give you perfect love for Him. If you sin after that, just repent, and determine in your heart not to continue in sin and God will still help you; just don’t continue in sin willfully. God will deliver you, He will heal you and give you His peace.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. PRAYING

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Thessalonica, saying,

“Pray without ceasing” 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

Is that possible, to pray without ceasing?

Let’s just put it this way, how much time do we spend thinking about things that can only be described as idle thoughts?

I fight against idle thoughts every day, thoughts that don’t amount to a hill of beans, which also leads to unnecessary worry. I am breaking ground and making great progress, because I have determined that I will shut down every idle thought and praise the Lord and pray instead. The more I rebuke idle thoughts and spend my “thinking time” in prayer and praising God, the better I feel, the more peace I have and the more prayers I see answered!

This is the will of God for us, that we pray as often as we can; and if you believe that isn’t possible, just consider how much time you spend on wasteful thinking. Turn all of that idle thinking, which leads to worry, or vanity, into praise and prayer and see what happens!

Paul said,

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Jesus said,

“I say unto you, every idle word that men speak, they shall give an account of on the Day of Judgment” Matthew 12:36.

If Paul admonishes us to “pray without ceasing,” and the Lord said that we will give an account of “every idle word” on the Day of Judgment, don’t you suppose He is concerned about how much time we spend thinking nonsensical things: the past, bitterness, unforgiveness, how so and so is cruel, so and so was thoughtless, how I would like to do this, how I would like to buy that, I would like to go here, I would like to build that, I wish I had done it differently…the list is neverending, isn’t it?

Do you suppose that if you make a deliberate attempt to substitute all of those idle thoughts with praise and prayer for souls, the poor, orphans, widows, those who are persecuted for Christ’s sake…, the Lord will be pleased?

I can tell you most certainly, by experience, that the more time I spend in prayer, the more God answers my prayers, and the more I have visions and spiritual dreams.

If anyone believes they can allow unrepentant sin to remain in their lives, and still get their prayers answered, please reconsider. Prayer can be answered, for God’s mercy, but it is not likely to happen for those living in sin, disobedience and rebellion, who know better.

The Word of God tells us,

“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” 1 Peter 2:9.

You don’t have to be a spiritual giant to fill the description above. Peter, in the above passage of scripture, was speaking to “newborn babes” in Christ (1 Peter 2:2).

My great-grandmother was a praying saint of God and I keep a diary of the miracles God performed through her prayers: babies healed, her children healed, financial needs met, God even brought a pastor to her door to ask her if she would like to start a church in her home, a man she had never met. She had been praying, asking God to send the holiness church to that town where she lived. A Church of God pastor was driving through town, asking God where he should start a church there. God told him to stop at my great-grandmother’s house, as he was driving by. He pulled over and went to her house. He introduced himself and the church, and asked her if she would like to start a Church of God mission in her home. She told the pastor she had been praying that God would send the church to her town!

Now listen, folks, God laid it on my heart to write a message today about prayer. He is calling His people to prayer and He wants to be your prayer-answering God, right now, today!

We are living in the last of the last days, in perilous times (2 Timothy 3:1), but God’s people have no need to fear.

If you hold to the name of Christ, but you are allowing sin in your life, then you have something to be concerned about. Even so, if you are serious with God, He is our Deliverer and He will deliver you, if you ask Him in faith!

The Word of God tells us,

“Therefore, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses (the saints who have gone to heaven and are also looking down), let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” Hebrews 12:1. (Hebrews 11 is the “Faith Chapter” and a great encouragement to the saints.)

Jesus said to His disciples,

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full” John 16:24.

If you have cares, if you are under some bondage of sin, pray and lay it down before God, He will answer and He will deliver you.

Jesus also said,

“Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven” Matthew 18:19.

I laid my hands on this message today, after I wrote it, and I asked God to meet your needs, to deliver you, if you need deliverance, so I am agreeing with you in prayer, and as Jesus instructed, believe that it will be done for you. Ask in Jesus’s name, in sincerity, and watch it come to pass.

It is important to pray for legitimate needs, not excess, or praying amiss; but if you have a sincere need, I have already prayed with you and I am believing God with all of those who read this message and pray in agreement with me.

Receive those needs, in Jesus’s name!

Be delivered, in Jesus’s name!

Thank Him in advance, praise Him and believe it, in Jesus’s name!

Don’t Give Place To the Devil

The Apostle Paul encouraged the members of the church at Ephesus in the faith, admonishing them to refrain from evil, and rather stay renewed in the spirit of their minds.

With all of his admonitions, detailing what the saints can do to stay strong in the faith, he wrote one passage of scripture that stood out to me perhaps more than all others:

“Neither give place to the devil” Ephesians 4:27.

In other words, don’t give the devil a foothold in your life through any means whatsoever. Don’t let him bring unholy thoughts into your mind; don’t tell half-truths; don’t compromise on anything.

We can certainly go down a very long list of things in this world that can destroy a person spiritually, but rather than compile a very lengthy list, such as be careful not to sin if you get angry; don’t commit fornication, because that is a sin against the body and sins against the body will destroy the body; don’t allow filthy communication to come out of your mouth, because out of the intents of the heart, the mouth speaks, and such a heart is not filled with the Spirit of the Lord, etc, etc, etc…; know this, if you give the devil an inch, he will take a mile.

Don’t let the devil ride!

We can actually sum it all up in that passage of scripture above, which means the same thing as “don’t give the devil any place to start a spiritual cancer in your life.

Anything at all that allows the devil passage into your life, whether it be cursing, telling what some might call “little white lies” (a lie is a lie and God hates them all [Revelation 21:8]), gossip and backbiting…

In summary, if Jesus wouldn’t do it, we must not do it. God is watching all the time.

Jesus said,

“I say to you, every idle word that men speak, they shall give an account of it on Judgment Day” Matthew 12:36.

Some say it is impossible for man not to sin, but that couldn’t possibly be the case, because Jesus came to earth in the flesh, but He conquered the flesh and lived without sin.

The Word of God says,

“For we have not a High Priest (Jesus) which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin” Hebrews 4:15. (emphasis added)

We aren’t able to live holy, that is absolutely true; but Christ can live holy in our mortal bodies, if we surrender ourselves to Him.

The Apostle Paul wrote,

“I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” Galatians 2:20

This is exactly why Jesus said,

“Jesus said to His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” Matthew 16:24.

The Word of God also tells us,

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1.

There are a lot of people in the world today who hold on to the name of Jesus, and they hold to the name of Christian, but they aren’t into denying themselves. These are the same ones that will tell you all day long, “No one can live without sin.”

Jesus said,

“Whoever seeks to save his life shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life shall preserve it” Luke 17:33.

Salvation is free, but we owe Him our lives; He purchased them with his blood (Acts 20:28). If we don’t turn our lives over to Him now, we will have no part with Him in the world to come. It is as simple as that.

A lot of people want Jesus and eternal life, but they also want to hold on to their compromising, sins and decadence. It doesn’t work that way.

The Word of God tells us,

“No man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (money)” Luke 16:13.

We are either servants of God, or servants of the devil by default. We have to serve somebody. If we aren’t serving God, we are serving the devil, like it or not!

Don’t give any place for the devil to gain an advantage in your life.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (men acting like women) nor abusers of themselves with mankind (homosexuals), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the Kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

Leaven in the Word of God equates sin.

The Word of God says,

“A little leaven leavens the whole lump” Galatians 5:9.

Some people believe they can get by with just a “little sin” in their lives, but the Word tells us that if there is a “little leaven” (sin) in us, we are sinners, willful sinners, and we will stand before God on the Day of Judgment.

Are you still living in sin? It is time to purge it now and get right with God; tomorrow could be too late.

PEACE

ARE YOU WALKING IN PEACE?

One piece of our military vestment, as a member of God’s heavenly host, is to have our “feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace” Ephesians 6:15.

We may be walking in the “path of righteousness” (Proverbs 12:28), but if we don’t have our “feet shod” properly, we could be walking on the right path, but lacking the peace which follows the gospel. Notice that in the passage of scripture above, the word “peace” follows “gospel,” the “gospel of peace.”

I am not just referring to the fact that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and all who confess Jesus as Lord are saved. That is the best part of the gospel, but that is not the “full gospel;” that is not all there is to the gospel.

The gospel spans from Genesis to Revelation, for Christ was “slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8 – *Jesus, the Lamb of God, was slain from the foundation of the world, because there is no time with God; He always was slain for all souls who believe, even those who believed the prophesies of His death before He was slain.) It is actually impossible to have a full grasp on the New Testament gospel, without having a good knowledge of the Old Testament gospel, because Christ “came not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it” (Matthew 5:17).

Knowing God’s Word, the gospel, precedes peace.

For example, if you perhaps have suffered some type of offense and that offense is making you absolutely miserable, it is imperative to know:

“Those who love Your Law have great peace, and nothing shall offend them” Psalms 119:165.

If you are miserable, learn God’s Word (His Law), because knowing it will give you peace.

Without knowing what God has to say about peace, you might not have peace.

You might also not realize, without knowing the Word of God very well, that the saints of God are not called to be doormats, which will also rob us of our peace.

If people, perhaps even family members, are bringing their calamity into your life because of their sins, and they refuse to repent, or do the right thing to get in right standing with God, we are not obligated to allow them to heap their burdens upon us, or bring their sin into our homes, or to suffer for their sins; Christ already did that for them, if they will receive Him!

In fact, it isn’t God’s will for us to be vexed by the ungodly, or suffer calamity because of the sins of others, or suffer lack of peace, because others refuse to repent, or get in line with God’s will, so they too can be blessed. If we have our “feet shod with the gospel of peace,” then we already know what the scriptures say about these things, and we can hold on to our peace and refuse to receive the wrath of God intended for others.

The Word of God tells us about those who are,

“Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (the power to live holy), from such turn away” 2 Timothy 3:4-5.

There are times, saints of God, when we have to make a decision about some folks, and after having done all we can do to get them to repent and get them on the right path, if they refuse, we are at liberty to “turn away from such;” lest they take advantage of us, rob us of our peace, and even bring the wrath of God down on us, that should only be falling upon those who are rebellious and disobedient.

Another passage of scripture that will help you make the right decision about some people who bring sin and havoc into your life is the following passage of scripture:

“Be not deceived, evil communications corrupt good manners” 1 Corinthians 15:33.

If we are in the company of those who live in sin, we are going to become vexed, our peace will leave us, and we might even be close enough to them to have God’s wrath fall down on us, which was only intended for those who are sinning against God.

There are times when we can’t avoid living with sinners, and that would apply to our spouses and our children. We can’t cast off our spouse, or our children, but if we pray and look to the Lord for help, He understands, and He will provide the peace we need in situations when we can’t avoid being around those who sin.

The Word of God tells us that an unbelieving spouse is sanctified (not saved, but sanctified to partake of the relationship) by the believing spouse (1 Corinthians 7:14), because they are “one flesh” (Ephesians 5:31); so, God will give you the grace to be an example to them and He will sustain you in that relationship.

If we raise our children in the admonition of the Lord, we shouldn’t have to suffer ill characters in them; but for those who didn’t, or the children went astray, God will give you the grace to deal with them, as you fast and pray for their souls to be saved.

Peace follows knowing the gospel, so for those of us who want the “peace of God, which surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7), we need to feast on God’s Word day and night:

“The law of the Lord is his delight and he meditates on His law day and night” Psalms 1:2.

Some very wealthy and famous people have committed suicide, because money and things cannot bring peace. Only God, who is His Word (John 1:1), and His salvation, can provide peace. What price can be placed on peace?

God bless you with the Gospel of Peace.

‘BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED’

“He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed” Isaiah 53:5.

“Who Himself bore sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed” 1 Peter 2:24.

It seems there will always be someone there to say, “God doesn’t heal today,” “I have seen others who weren’t healed, so you might not get healed either” and “It is not always God’s will to heal people,” the biggest lie yet!

The Word of God says,

“God forbid, yes, let God be true, but every man a liar, as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings and might overcome when you are judged” Romans 3:4.

Some will say, “If God always, how will anyone ever die? For God’s people: have you ever heard of “natural causes?” We just exit this body and walk into glory! Some have been called to the greater reward of “martyrdom!”

We all have to ask ourselves if we are going to believe God, or about everyone else. Personally, rather than not believe God, His written Word, I will say everyone in the entire world is a LIAR! God’s Word is forever true! Stand by that firmly and see what happens!

JESUS THE LIGHT 3

Screen shot: YouTube.com

OVERCOME!

Spirits of darkness are constantly warring to put out the light of this world, Jesus.

While I was praying this morning, a bright light appeared before me. I am familiar with this light; it is the manifestation of the light of Christ Jesus.

I saw the light before my eyes, as the Lord comforted me, because I was distressed about the condition of the world, and even some of God’s people.

As I marveled at the light of Christ, darkness tried to cover the light, but the light of Christ prevailed each time and His light overcame the darkness. This happened three times, then the Lord opened my mouth and spoke these Words for us, the overcoming saints:

You are the light of the world (Philippians 2:15)

Overcome the darkness with the light of Christ (Acts 26:18)

Stay in the Word daily (Psalms 1:2; 2 Timothy 2:15)

Stay in consistent prayer and praise and songs of praise (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Psalms 34:1; Ephesians 5:19), instead of allowing idle thoughts to enter your mind (Matthew 15:19)

He that overcomes, I will grant to eat of the Tree of Life (Revelation 2:7)

Look up, for your redemption draws near (Luke 21:28)

After I received these things from the Lord, immediately a passage of scripture came to my mind, so I will include it with this exhortation from the Lord:

“Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching. Assuredly I say to you that He will gird Himself and have them sit down to eat and will come and serve them” Luke 12:37.

MARRIAGE SUPPER

Jesus said that during the time of the flood, people were eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, right up to the day that Noah went into the ark. They were unaware of what was happening, until the flood came and swept them all away (Matthew 24:36-44).

PEANUT

EAT THIS AND DIE!

There is a considerable line-up of “Christian” denominations that believe in the doctrine of Calvinism, “once you’re saved, you are always saved.” Live like the devil, if you will, but you can never lose your salvation.

Jesus said,

“If you love Me, keep My commandments” John 14:15.

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, is he who loves Me…and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him” John 14:21.

“If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love” John 15:10.

If we don’t keep God’s commandments, none of the above applies to us, lest Jesus be made a liar!

In fact, there is a scripture about those who backslide and have no hope of ever returning to the Lord. It is important to understand that this doesn’t apply to every Christian; it only applies to those who have been “enlightened,” who have received the gift of the “Holy Ghost” and have tasted of the “powers” of the world to come. If these turn away from God, it is “impossible” to renew them again to repentance; they are lost forever:

“It is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good Word of God and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame” Hebrews 6:4-6 (emphasis added).

This one scripture alone, although there are many, makes Calvinism, the doctrine of eternal security, a lie, heresy – that will send people to hell!

Again, this condition of being turned over to a reprobate mind, irredeemable, does not apply to Christians who fail the Lord in some way, perhaps sin in a state of weakness, but who repent and surrender all to the Lord again. This condition applies only to those who have received the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2), who have not only sinned, but have “fallen away” completely and put the Son of God to an open shame, because they not only sin, but continue in a state of unrepentant sin. These are reprobate, because of the magnitude of what was given to them, which they threw off as trash!

There is a difference between falling, repenting, and getting back up and serving the Lord; versus falling away and living in continual, unrepentant sin(s); a big difference.

Although we strive toward the mark of perfection, Christians sometimes fall. Those who get back up, repent and continue in this race (Hebrews 12:1) will not be denied by the Lord.

The message given to us in the Holy Word of God is: do not trifle with God; do not treat the holy things given to you as trash, tossing them aside for the sins of the world; do not bring a reproach to the holy, Most Holy, name of God, or you may be cut off – without remedy!

“He, being often reproved, who hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed without remedy” Proverbs 29:1.

Many people have said, and continue to say, we cannot live without sin; we are only human.

Jesus came in the flesh to prove that we can live holy in this flesh, which brings a passage of scripture to my mind:

“This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (emphasis added).

Paul, here, is talking about people who claim to be Christians, “having a form of godliness…”

Denying the power thereof…The power of what? Just what Paul was discussing, “godliness,” the power to live a godly life; they deny the power to live godly! “From such turn away.” Get away from “Christians” who say, “We don’t have the power to live godly!”

The Word of God tells us,

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.

Do we love God even as much as we love our bodies?

Who among us would dare eat a peanut if we are allergic to peanuts? A peanut can kill a person who is allergic to peanuts!

Who would decide to keep bees that also have anaphylactic reactions to bees?

No one!

Isn’t the consequence of sin, hell, eternal hell fire, more important than an allergic reaction to peanuts, or a bee sting? Apparently, some don’t think so. God, however, is not ignorant of their lack of sincerity, those who live in sin, but claim to be His people.

The bottom line is this, the same “Christians” that say they must sin, simply want to sin! That same person wouldn’t touch a peanut, or a bee, if they were allergic to them. That same person is a hypocrite and Jesus said this about hypocrites:

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones and of all uncleanness” Matthew 23:27.

This is God’s commandment to His people:

“I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1.

FIRE

Strange Fire

Nadab and Abihu were the sons of Aaron, elected by God, according to their lineage, to be among the Royal Priesthood. They were fully qualified, ordained priests unto God and served in the Temple of God. One day, Nadab and Abihu got it into their pompous thinking that they could bring an offering before God, which was not ordained of God. The priests, appointed by God, starting with Aaron the High Priest, all the way down to the priests who attended the doors of the Temple of God, were given specific duties outlined by God Himself, starting with their responsibility to cleanse themselves at the laver (indicative of New Testament sanctification), to what types of garments to wear, what specific offerings to make upon the brazen altar, and so forth.

The Word of God tells us,

“Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in them and put incense on them and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He did not command them to do; and there went out fire from the Lord and devoured them and they died before the Lord” Leviticus 10:1-2 (emphasis added).

This is an aspect of God’s character that many people do not recognize. They want to talk about the love of God anytime, but when it comes to the Lord’s commandments and His requirement that we obey them, or face the consequences, people want to deny that characteristic of God.

Deny it all they may, God is to be feared. Old Testament and New Testament scriptures instruct us to fear God.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they who do His commandments; His praise endures forever” Psalm 111:10.

Jesus said,

“Fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:28.

This New Testament scripture is something many people who claim to be Christians work very hard at camouflaging and twisting, because they don’t want to believe in hell. They will even strike new meaning to what Christ said specifically about the body and soul being tormented in hell (because of sin), rather than believe in the Words of Jesus, which they feel are too negative to be true. Seventh-Day Adventists and “Jehovah’s” Witnesses do not believe in a literal hell, for example.

A “Jehovah’s” Witness said to me once, “God wouldn’t send anyone to hell; He wouldn’t do something like that.”

We need to remember this; anyone who twists the Word of God to conform to their own way of thinking is in grave danger, according to the Word of God.

Jesus said to John the Revelator:

“I testify unto every man who hears the Words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book; and if any man shall take away from the Words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book” Revelation 22:18-19.

In the same book, Revelation, Jesus told John:

“I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (eternal death in the lake of fire). And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” Revelation 20:12-15.

Now given the warning in Revelation 22:18-19, about being removed out of the Book of Life, if anyone takes away from the things written in “this book” (the Book of Revelation), I believe it is a mighty fearful thing not to believe in hell and the lake of fire, or to try to remove that truth from the book!

Jeremiah also prophesied a warning to those who create their own path to walk in, their own way to pleasing God:

“Because my people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to vanity and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up…I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity” Jeremiah 18:15, 17.

Some might say Nadab and Abihu’s strange fire relates only to Old Testament law, not the dispensation of grace. The following reveals some truth about God’s wrath in the New Testament and is a warning not to trifle with God, not to deal deceitfully concerning the things of God, or worse, lie to the Holy Ghost:

“A certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not your own? After it was sold, was it not in your own power? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied unto men, but to God. Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and gave up the ghost (died on the spot), and great fear came on all those who heard these things. The young men arose, wound him up, carried him out and buried him. It was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what happened, came in. Peter asked her, Tell me whether you sold the land for so much? She said, Yes, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that you agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door and shall carry you out. She then fell down immediately at his feet and yielded up the ghost; and the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. Great fear came upon all the church, as many as heard these things” Acts 5:1-11.

The deaths of these two, Ananias and Sapphira, weren’t about money, or giving to the church. It was all about lying to God, and the consequences for doing such a thing. Ananias and Sapphira made a commitment to sell some property and donate all of the proceeds to God. Obviously, through the Spirit of discernment, or by revelation, Peter knew they decided to withhold part of the money they received for the property. Instead of modifying their pledge, which would have at least been the honest thing to do, they decided to lie about how much they received for the property, as if they were still donating the whole amount they received to God. They apparently felt so good about themselves, having donated whatever portion of the sale they were giving, they had no concern whatsoever about lying to the man of God about their donation.

God despised their deceitful giving, because it was given in the wrong spirit, in fact, they gave it in a lying spirit, which is evil. The Word of God tells us that there are six, actually seven things God hates, and one of those seven things is “a lying tongue” (Proverbs 6:16-19).

The ways of Nadab and Abihu and Ananias and Sapphira remind me of another passage of scripture:

“There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” Proverbs 14:12.

People have a lot of “wonderful” ideas about God, about what He likes and what He dislikes, about what He wants and what He doesn’t want, about what they think His Word says and about what they think His Word doesn’t say. This is evident by the fact that there are dozens of churches in many cities throughout the world, but they all teach a different doctrine.

There are only two eternal destinies in place: heaven, for those who know truth and obey it; and hell, for those who think they know truth, but talked themselves into believing fables (2 Timothy 4:1-4).

No prophecy is of private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). In other words, no one scripture stands alone; it must be compared and measured against other scriptures. We are instructed to “rightly divide” the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). This means we have to know the whole Word, before we can rightly divide it, or measure its interpretation by other passages of scripture. Often, when you read a passage of scripture and you don’t understand it right away, the scripture will interpret itself, as you keep reading. Nevertheless, the same passage of scripture may have a different meaning if you isolate it from the rest of the Word. It is always critical to pray with a pure heart before God for the divine interpretation of His Word, and He promised to answer that prayer, when we seek Him with all of our hearts (Jeremiah 29:13).

Paul was called by God to be an evangelist and overseer of the Church of God. Before he set out on his ministry, he went to Arabia to hear the Words of Jesus Christ himself; he did not study under men. After all, men can twist the Word of God around horribly. Paul said to the brethren in Galatia,

“I certify to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not after man, for I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by revelation of Jesus Christ…When it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood, neither did I go up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me, but I went to Arabia and returned again to Damascus. Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and abode with him fifteen days. I saw no other apostle, except James, the Lord’s brother” Galatians 1:11-12, 15-19 (emphasis added).

Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, did not learn the things of God after the rudiments of men, but he went straight to the Source alone. Before he began ministering, he spent three years receiving revelations from Jesus, not of man.

I have heard some of the most outrageous doctrine from those who have graduated from “Bible” seminaries, because the curriculum is often based on man’s interpretation of the Word, not God’s divine revelation.

If you want real instruction, pray earnestly, and then go before the One and only source of real truth and that is the Lord Himself, “who gives freely and upbraids not” (James 1:5), just as the Apostles and Paul did.

Once you know the Word of God for yourself, then, and only then, you can identify false doctrine when you hear it, perhaps even from your pastor!

Jesus warned not once, not twice, but three times to beware of false teachers, false prophets and false Christs in Matthew 24, especially as we draw nearer to the Lord’s return.

When we stand before God on Judgment Day, pastors and teachers will answer to God for how they presented the Word of God to others. Everyone who heard them will stand alone before God, to answer to Him about why they believed those who lied, instead of reading the Word of God for themselves in order to know the truth.

Our eternal destiny hinges on knowing God’s Holy Word, to the best of our ability, and whether we obeyed it.

Are we offering acceptable sacrifices to God, or strange fire?

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. FALSE TEACHERS, FALSE PROPHETS, THEN THE ANTICHRIST

I have spiritual dreams about every two or three days, and I had a prophetic dream four days ago that I will share with you.

I dreamed a man of God was singing on a platform in a stadium and suddenly a man stood up in the audience and began singing too, drowning out the man of God on stage.

The dream represents revival in these last days. While the real men of God are on the platform, there will be enough heretics bearing false doctrine “from the bleachers” to drown out the anointed men of God and the message of truth.

Those bearing false doctrine will, and already do, gather the largest crowds, because the hearts of the people aren’t in the right place. They have “itching ears” and seek after “feel good” ministers bearing their own messages with enticing words.

The Word of God tells us,

“Preach the Word; be instant in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine; for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts they shall heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from truth, and shall be turned unto fables” 2 Timothy 4:2-4.

A local church member told me that some Muslims came into the church, sat down and began to openly challenge the minister and interrupt the church services. The Muslims told the minister that their church wouldn’t last, that Islam will become the global religion.

Pretty bold, aren’t they? Try going to Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, or any Middle Eastern Muslim country, where they decapitate infidels, and walk into a mosque and challenge them, telling them that their religion will fail, disrupt their services and tell them Christianity will become the global religion, and see what happens to you!

At the same time, while most Christians are sleeping, spending hours in front of television, internet, planning their next job move, vacation, etc; Muslim jihadis are invading the great nations of the world by the millions.

While President Trump is trying to get America’s wall built, illegals are converging on our border in record numbers, more than when the stealthy jihadi himself was president!

People really need to wake up, shake themselves and stay very much alert at this hour.

Jesus told us that half of the Christian community would be asleep when He returns (Matthew 25), and He didn’t even include those with false doctrines who call themselves Christians. He was literally referring to “virgin” Christians, the real deal Christians!

Have you considered that three of the four major religions have already ruled in this world? Think about it. The Jews ruled during the time of Christ, bringing Jesus before Pontius Pilate to be crucified, and they martyred many Christians during the time of the early church. The Catholics ruled and martyred multitudes of Christians during the Inquisition. The Ottoman Empire ruled from 1453 through 1924, killing millions of Christians and other minorities during that time, and tens of millions since Muhammad!

Christians have never ruled.

Christians have been massacred by Jews, Muslims and Catholics.

Christians have never murdered Jews, Muslims or Catholics.

Why do you suppose the Christians haven’t ruled the world, killing Jews, Muslims, or Catholics?

One simple reason is that we Christians serve the One and only true living God, and the others serve satan, the killer!

The Word of God says,

“You shall not kill” Exodus 20:13.

“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves (not the same as defending one’s self and family), but rather give place to wrath, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay’ says the Lord” Romans12:19.

This, however, can be said of Jews, Muslims and Catholics throughout history:

“You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abides not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it” John 8:44.

Jews, Muslims and Catholics all bear the spirit of antichrist:

“(Deceptions of the last hour) Little children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour” 1 John 2:18.

Many antichrists have come through these false religions and dictators, such as Adolf Hitler; but one final antichrist will arise to be the last antichrist ruler.

This is a characteristic of his uprising:

“I saw one of his heads (a world ruler) as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed, and all the world marveled and followed the beast (last antichrist)” Revelation 13:3.

Notice John wrote that his head was “as if it had been mortally wounded,” not that it had been killed, but “as if” it had been killed, but the “deadly wound was healed.”

The Ottoman Empire – Islamic Caliphate – ruled a wide area of the Middle East, Southeast Europe, parts of Eastern Europe, Central Europe, the Caucasus, Western Asia, North Africa and the Horn of Africa, for nearly 500 years, but the Islamic Caliphate appeared to have been “mortally wounded” in 1924, only 93 years ago. The last and final antichrist’s deadly wound is “healed!”

The antichrist kingdom is rising all around us, folks. If Christians can’t see that obvious fact, they are spiritually asleep and need a sharp awakening, before it’s too late!

Even agnostics know simply by demographics that Islam is set to rule the world by shere numbers.

It is a lot later than most people think, because the Word of God tells us that the Lord will return before the religion of Islam takes over the entire world. That fact is revealed in the last part of Daniel’s interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream:

“His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. You saw that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces” Daniel 2:33-34.

Daniel described to Nebuchadnezzar his dream, during which time he saw an image made of gold, silver, brass, iron and feet of clay mixed with iron. These metals represented the Babylonian Empire (gold), Medo-Persians (silver), Grecian (brass), Roman (iron) and last of all a mixed kingdom, half strong (fierce), and half weak (conservative); which means that the last advancing kingdom is going to take power even when the world is only partly fierce (iron) and partly weak (clay). Islam will have infiltrated only about half of the world’s populations, not all, when the Lord returns to crush it to pieces (represented by the stone which broke the feet of iron and clay).

Having only infiltrated half of the populations, the antichrist kingdom will still come to power because of their fierce “iron teeth” (Daniel 7:19), striking terror in the weak.

As I mentioned earlier, Muslims have no qualms about walking into a church and declaring they are going to bring it down. Again, I say, try that in a Muslim nation at one of their mosques. Do you get the implication here?

Christians haven’t ruled, killed, or destroyed, because our God, the One true God, has reserved that privilege for Himself. He is not cruel. He is patiently waiting for those who will see the light of His truth and love for all souls, as He does not willingly afflict His people (Lamentations 3:33), but He must bring just judgment in the end.

God and His people are calling you now, before it’s too late.

“The Spirit (of God) and the Bride (His church) say, Come; and let him that hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17.

…before it’s too late:

“I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life, and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works…and whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” Revelation 20:12, 15.

In AD 1559, John Alloysius, being sent from Geneva to preach in Calabria, was there apprehended as a Protestant, carried to Rome, and burnt by order of the pope; and James Bovellus, for the same reason, was burnt at Messina.

Excerpts taken from Fox’s Book of Martyrs – Zondervan Publishing House (1926)

The Catholic Church has never issued an apology for the crimes committed during the Inquisition and the brutal murders of Protestant Christians who denounced papal authority, denied Purgatory, the selling of indulgences in sin, the worship of idols, prayers to the saints and the Virgin Mary. Neither has any reparation been made to the heirs of the saints who suffered such persecutions from the Catholic Church. Protestants were brutally murdered by Catholics by way of burning them alive at the stake, flaying alive, hangings, cutting them to pieces, burying them alive, drowning, torturing them on the rack, whereby bones were broken and bodies ripped apart, beheading them, etc… The property and assets were seized of those heinously murdered by the Catholic Church from about the Twelfth Century through around the 1820s. The Vatican sits atop the blood of the saints. Revelation 18 describes her brutal end for heresies and having committed such abominable crimes.

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues” Revelation 18:4.

God is calling His sincere believers to come out of the Catholic abomination, before it’s too late!

CLOCK - PAST MIDNIGHT

“THE LORD IS NOT SLACK…”

I have to admit, I was very disappointed when the Lord didn’t return for the saints in 2017, especially having considered the Judah Ben Samuel prophecies, and even my own dream and vision of the catching up of the saints.

Albeit, the Lord has impressed upon my heart to remember this passage of scripture,

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9.

He has already told us not despair; He is waiting for more souls to come into the Kingdom of God.

We know that signs in heaven, such as the blood moon tetrad and the Virgo and Leo lineup of stars over Jerusalem last September; and signs in the earth, such as the uprising of the antichrist kingdom (Islam), that the Lord’s return is imminent, according to Bible prophecy, and that’s all we are really able to know, for the Word of God also tells us,

“But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father” Mark 13:32.

Jesus said here that the angels don’t know when He will return, nor does He even know when He will return, but the Father only. It is the Father, who will say to Jesus, “The hour has come!”

The scriptures tell us scoffers will say the Lord isn’t coming, as He promised:

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers walking after their own lusts, saying, Where is the promise of His coming? Since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” 2 Peter 3:3-4.

My faith holds strong in the Lord’s return, because I have seen many Bible prophecies come to pass already to doubt God’s promise now; but there are people who ridicule and refuse to believe in His return.

Not to change the subject, but this will tie in with the Lord’s return. I found a hidden message in the Torah regarding the return of the Lord. I was studying Hebrew today and noticed that the name of Asher means several different things. That fact brought my mind back to something profound that some scholars found while researching the root meanings of the names of our first ten ancestors, which, lined up in order of ancestry, reveals a message of salvation and redemption.

The message of salvation is derived from these ten ancestors found in Genesis 5: Adam, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech and Noah. The meaning of their names combined completes the following message:

“Mankind turns their faces towards and are appointed mortal grievous sorrow to lament and mourn. God, who is praised, comes down to instruct and to consecrate. He is sent forth as a prophet-priest, to be smitten and scourged, to die, to given rest and security, a quiet attitude (peace).”

After noticing the meanings of the name of Asher today, I decided to run the same search of the root meanings of all the names of the sons of Israel (Jacob) in order of their birth. The message I found from that search was also amazing!

I have been asking God to reveal mysteries and secrets to me from the Word of God, and I immediately knew the results of my search were a direct answer to that prayer. Here is the message from the root definitions of each of the names of Israel’s sons, lined up according to their birth:

Hidden Message of the Lord’s Return In the Names of the Son’s of Israel

                  NAME                                     SPELLING                             MEANING
Reuben רְאוּבֵן see ye a Son
Simeon שִׁמְעוֹן hear – perceive
Levi לֵוִי unite
Judah יְהוּדָה worship – celebrate
Dan דָּן rule
Naphtali נַפְתָלִי wrestle
Gad גָּד overcome
Asher אָשֵׁר relieve – bless
Issachar יִשָּׂשׁכָר He will bring a reward
Zebulun זְבוּלֻן to dwell with
Joseph יוֹסֵף to increase
Benjamin בִּנְיָמִין the Son of the right hand.
The message within the names: See the Son of God, hear and perceive who He is, unite, worship and celebrate Him. Jesus will rule, wrestle with evildoers and overcome them; He will relieve and bless the saints; He will bring a reward for the saints; He will dwell with the saints, He will increase His Kingdom, the Son of the right hand of God!

There are scriptures to back up this message concerning the Lord’s return:

“Jesus said, I Am (the Son of God), and you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power (at God’s right hand) and coming in the clouds of heaven” Mark 14:62.

“I know their works and their thoughts; it shall come that I will gather all nations and tongues, and they shall come and see My glory” Isaiah 66:18.

“And it shall come to pass that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem, shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles” Zechariah 14:16.

“Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him” Isaiah 40:10.

“He shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers, even as I received of My Father” Revelation 2:27.

“Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch (Jesus, of the lineage of David) and a King shall reign and prosper and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth” Jeremiah 23:5.

“I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God” Revelation 21:3.

The rabbis have probably already discovered this hidden message, but I haven’t seen any publication of it. In fact, rabbis say that the entire history of mankind is hidden in the Torah. Those who have seen these hidden secrets in the Torah, which are mathematically impossible by the way, have no doubt concluded that Yeshua (Jesus) is indeed ha Mashiach (the Messiah)!

Elim17 – 1/13/18

Are we discouraged that the Lord hasn’t returned yet? Disappointed, yes, but never discouraged! God has revealed so much already and hundreds of prophecies have already come to pass. I encourage everyone still,

“Look up, for your redemption draws near” Luke 21:28!

The Lord is only waiting a while longer. If you aren’t saved yet, He may be waiting just for you!

“Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice” John 5:28.

ISRAEL 10

JERUSALEM AFIRE

I had a dream yesterday morning (12/26/17) before waking. I dreamed I was in Jerusalem warning the people to pray and prepare for a fire that would come.

Since December 6, 2017, when President Donald Trump officially declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel, which in fact it is, but none of the United States Presidents before him publicly declared it, the Middle East has been “ablaze” and the Muslims have demonstrated and rioted since that time.

President Trump’s pronouncement was essentially the start of the Ezekiel 38 war, and those maniacal nations will certainly come against Israel, but they are going to suffer a tremendous defeat. That isn’t my word, that’s the Word of God, as declared in Ezekiel 38.

On 11/8/10, I had a vision of a beast, a false prophet and Vladimir Putin, who was not the president of Russia at that time, but after the vision, I knew he would be president in the future. I knew he would lead a military invasion of Israel, as described in Ezekiel 38. We are living in the generation of that prophetic war and the time is at hand.

Most of the citizens of Israel today are secular Jews and they need to be saved. They aren’t prepared spiritually for the battles ahead (they are prepared militarily, but not spiritually), just as Israel was not prepared to receive Yeshua, their Messiah, about 2,000 years ago.

As Christians, we need to pray for the salvation of Israel and we need to witness to them (Genesis 12:1-3, Romans 1:16, Romans 10:1); we also need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, hence, the Lord’s return to bring peace (Isaiah 62:1, Psalm 122:6).

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. ARMOR OF GOD

A CONSTANT WARFARE

The Apostle Paul said, “…I die daily” 1 Corinthians 15:31. He also said, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me…” Galatians 2:20.

Just what did Paul mean when he said, “I die daily?”

Paul was in a constant spiritual warfare and he knew that, by himself, he was no match for the powers of satan. He said he was “crucified with Christ,” but that he lived, yet not himself, but Christ lived in him.

So, Paul was dead and gone, but he said he lived, or rather Christ lived within him.

What Paul said was that his own nature, the carnal man, had to die “daily” in order for him to live a holy life for God. In other words, he wasn’t capable of living for God as a holy man, a minister of the gospel, an overseer of the church of God, even a martyr last of all; it was only because he allowed Christ to rule and reign in his mortal body that he could accomplish any of these things.

Paul told the saints in Rome,

“Let not sin, therefore, reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof” Romans 6:12.

Those who preach and teach Calvinism, once saved always saved, preach that message because they know they aren’t capable of living a holy life, which is absolutely true.

Calvinists miss a critical truth, however. When we surrender all to the Lord, and put on the whole armor of God for spiritual warfare, we are able to live as Christ lived. When we allow Christ to take control, that’s when we can be true “followers of Christ.”

Calvinists know, as I know, how frail we are; and certainly if we were capable of living a sinless life, Christ would not have had to come and pay the ultimate price for our sins, through His death on the cross of Calvary.

Nevertheless, Jesus left this message with all of us, not just His disciples:

“Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” Matthew 16:24.

What’s this, “deny himself?” What is this, “take up his cross;” what cross?

Those two issues are why the wanna-be Christians, who instead of “denying themselves” and “taking up their crosses,” say they can’t live holy, no one can live holy, so I’m home free because I repented, I received Jesus, and that one act of repentance covered all of my sins, past, present and FUTURE.

Not!

Saint John preached to church members, not sinners,

“My little children, these things I write unto you, that you sin not, and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” 1 John 2:1.

The message here is that there is no such thing as repentance for future sins. Repentance covers all past sins; but if we fall again, we need to repent again and ask the Lord to wash away our sins by the precious blood of Jesus.

Jesus further expounded on this to the church, when He appeared to John and gave him a message for the seven churches in Asia. His message to the church in Ephesus was as follows:

“I know your works and your labor and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil, and you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars, and have borne and had patience and, for My name’s sake, have labored and have not fainted. Nevertheless, I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love. Remember, therefore, from whence you have fallen and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come unto you quickly and will remove your candlestick out of his place, except you repent” Revelation 2:2-5.

Out of the seven churches in Asia, Jesus reproved five of them and told them to repent, because they were allowing sin of some sort in their lives. He also warned the church in Sardis:

“Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die (spiritually), for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names in Sardis which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white raiment and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels” Revelation 3:2-5.

Did you catch that? He who overcomes will not have his name blotted out of the Book of Life. This means that once your name is written in the Book of Life, it can be blotted out!

In fact, Revelation 2-3 totally refutes the doctrine of eternal security (once saved always saved), as do many other scriptures throughout the Word of God.

We are in a constant spiritual battle against our enemy and we need to take heed.

“Therefore, let him who thinks he stands, take heed, lest he fall” 1 Corinthians 10:12.

Paul wrote to the church members at Ephesus:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” Ephesians 6:10-12.

“To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and have set down with My Father in His throne” Revelation 3:21.

We can’t even try to fight spiritual warfare in own strength.  We must go into the battle daily with the strength of Christ and we will win!

No child of God should start out the day without putting on the whole armor of God:

“Therefore, take unto yourself the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand, therefore, having your loins grit about with TRUTH, and having on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and your feet shod with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE; above all, taking the shield of FAITH, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked; and take the helmet of SALVATION and the sword of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD; PRAYING ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and WATCHING thereunto with all PERSEVERANCE and supplication for all saints” Ephesians 6:13-18.

Matthew 25 tells us what will happen if we are not prepared.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Francis Bribard, secretary to cardinal de Pellay (of the Catholic “church”), for speaking in favor of the reformed (Protestants), had his tongue cut out and was then burnt in AD 1545. James Cobard, a schoolmaster in the city of St Michael was burnt in AD 1545, for saying, “Mass was useless and absurd,” and about the same time, 14 men were burnt at Malda by Catholics, their wives being made to stand by and watch the executions.

RAPTURE - NIGHT

RAPTURE READY?

Before falling asleep last night, the last thing I said to the Lord was, “Show me the future, Lord.” I always pray in Jesus’s name, most holy and most precious.

I had just finished praying and I thanked the Lord for speaking to me in visions and dreams, but that I missed hearing His voice. The Lord has sent His angelic messengers to speak to me on several occasions, but I haven’t heard the audible voice of the Lord since 1996, when He gave me necessary instruction at a very trying time in my life.

About three weeks ago, as I was praying, I saw an open vision before my eyes. I saw a dear friend, an elderly saint in her 80s, fall down. I immediately called to warn her to be careful and I prayed for her.

I prayed through the week for my elderly friend, asking God to keep her on her feet and protect her. Nevertheless, she suffered a severe fall and broke her hip five days after I called her.

She received a hip replacement and is recovering well and rapidly for her age, confirmed by her surgeon.

God sent the warning, I warned her to be careful and I prayed. I won’t begin to try to explain why my friend fell anyway, but the Lord is bringing her through it better than expected.

The Lord is obviously selective about when, how and for what reasons He decides to communicate directly with us.

The Lord answered my prayer of last night through a dream I received just before waking this morning.

He put the wedding ring on her finger

I dreamed that many people were preparing for an elaborate wedding ceremony. I saw a lot of people, as I walked around. There were children and adults in attendance; then suddenly, the bride disappeared and she was nowhere to be found. People assumed she was dead, but her body was not found.

The Lord answered my prayer precisely, showing me prophetically what will happen very soon.

The message within the dream was quite clear. The Lord demonstrated that He is coming quickly for His “bride,” and it is time to be ready.

The Word of God tells us concerning the church:

“Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife, loves himself, for no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church; for we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. For this cause, shall a man leave his father and mother and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church” Ephesians 5:25-32.

Isaiah prophesied about God’s relationship with His people:

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God, for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels” Isaiah 61:10.

“For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall Your sons marry You; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you” Isaiah 62:5.

God told Jeremiah to speak to His people and He made the same comparison:

“Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number” Jeremiah 2:32.

Jesus said,

“Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom…and at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; you go out to meet him” Matthew 25:1, 6.

The Lord is telling us through the fulfillment of prophecies, signs, wonders, the sea and waves roaring, earthquakes, pestilence, famine, raging fires…that the Bridegroom is coming!

It is almost midnight, friends. Are you ready to go?

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.

“The Spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him that hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17.

PEARL OF GREAT PRICE
Screen shot: YouTube.com

THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE

Once I finish an article, I should be able to upload it to several websites within 45 minutes to an hour. That would be wonderful, but I haven’t had that luxury in about the last six years.

Articles take a considerable amount of time, primarily due to research, and I am in a good habit of validating my information before publishing; then I write it out comprehensively and proof/edit it at least a couple of times for accuracy.

After all of this time-consuming work, it would be nice if I could publish articles within a reasonable period of time, 45 minutes, or an hour. However, it takes much longer now because I am constantly targeted.

For example, I finished an article yesterday at about 5:00 pm and I was only able to upload it to one of several websites in the last four and a-half hours!

Why?

I have been targeted by Liberal Luciferian Lunatics, and perhaps every devil among satan’s minions, within about a year after publishing the first website, 2011. I fight cyberwars with these imps near constantly.

I have many “workarounds” I can launch once the targeting begins, but that is all very time consuming. I can’t explain the things I do (as I am praying) in order to get articles published, because that would release certain “intelligence” pertaining to this warfare that I won’t publish. Much of what I do is according to the leading of the Holy Ghost, as I do battle with the enemy.

If God didn’t provide the intelligence for this warfare, the websites wouldn’t exist.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places” Ephesians 6:12.

I sat exasperated tonight after publishing only one site in over four hours, and I literally asked God if He enjoyed torturing me!

I was waiting in my office chair, praying, asking God what the next move is, while “binding the devil,” as I also contemplated why God allows this battle to continue, when He and I both know He could easily fix it in an instant!

I bowed my head, considering how I would be sitting here waiting until this time next month – with one hair remaining on my head – with my back permanently hunched over – with my eyeballs hanging out of their sockets – and my tired chin hanging down to my chest – and I asked God, “Why, Lord, why do you make me go through this, when you can fix it right now!”

I laid my head across my arm on the desk and the Lord actually answered that belligerent question!

God said,

“I long to know just how much you love Me.”

Immediately, He also brought my mind to the “pearl of great price” and I couldn’t help crying…

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man seeking goodly pearls, who when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it” Matthew 13:45-46 (emphasis added).

The Lord allows us to be tried and tested, because He wants to see that we consider Him our “Pearl of great price.”

I said to the Lord, and I will say here publicly,

“Lord, my bridegroom, You are my very precious Pearl of great price!”

The Lord is coming back for His precious bride (a figure of how much He loves us – Isaiah 62:5), without spot or blemish (Ephesians 5:27-32). Do you have on your wedding garments? (Isaiah 61:10)

SOJOURNER

STRANGER AND SOJOURNER, OR RESIDENT?

by Elim17, November 22, 2017

The Word of God tells us that Abraham referred to himself as a “stranger and sojourner,” as he sought a burial place for Sarah, his wife (Genesis 23:4).

King David, beloved of God, referred to himself (and his fathers) as a “stranger and sojourner” (Psalms 39:12).

The Apostle Paul referred to those who “died in faith” as “strangers and pilgrims” on the earth (Hebrews 11:13).

Are we gaining a sense that “strangers and sojourners” on the earth are holy people?

The Apostle Peter said,

“Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul” 1 Peter 2:11.

More than at any other time in recent history, we live in perilous times and, frankly, there are a lot of evil people in the world today. If you aren’t certain of that, simply bring up DrudgeReport.com, the most popular news source in America, for a few days and you will know what I’m talking about.

Jesus said that as we draw nearer to His return, iniquity would abound and the love of many would turn cold (Matthew 24:12).

People in the world today lie profusely, they are proud, they curse and blaspheme, have no regard for God, or His commandments; they are competitive (which can be a good thing, if one isn’t looking to devour the competition) and society is rife with murder and fornication at every turn.

As time advances, the atmosphere in the world changes and it becomes an increasingly more dangerous place in which to live. There was a time, about a-half century ago, when people could gather together for a common cause and work to improve the community. Today, we have to be extremely cautious with whom we gather together and the fewer people in attendance, the safer the environment will be. We are in a sad situation, on one hand…

On the other hand, it is a time of great expectation for God’s people.

As Jesus described the time of the end, He said,

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near” Luke 21:28.

He also said,

“Blessed are those servants whom the Lord, when He comes, shall find watching; truly I say unto you that He shall gird Himself and make them to sit down to meat and will come forth and serve them” Luke 12:37.

The stranger and sojourner on this earth is the Lord’s servant and that man has a constant understanding of the Lord’s imminent return at all times; the sense of it never leaves him, for he is looking for that city not made with hands, but by the spoken Word of God:

“By faith, Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed, and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith, he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise, for he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God” Hebrews 11:8-10.

Abraham’s life signifies a Christian living in the world today; we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

“But now they (the saints) desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one; therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared for them a city” Hebrews 11:16.

Jesus said,

“Whosoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for My sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it” Mark 8:35.

In other words, if we seek to please ourselves in this life, seeking to gain what the world has to offer, that being our focus, we will lose our lives to eternal damnation. Moreover, if we give up our own desires to seek the will of God and surrender ourselves servants to obey the Lord in this life, regardless of where it leads us (walking by faith), we will save it – eternally in that heavenly city created by God for His faithful servants.

So, we must all ask ourselves this question: Am I a stranger and sojourner with the fellow saints, looking for that heavenly eternal city; or am I a resident of the world, seeking after worldly things and fulfilling the desires and lusts of the flesh, which lead to everlasting torment, separated from God?

Jesus also said,

“Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches and keeps his (righteous) garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame (sin)” Revelation 16:15.

Satan Is Under Our Feet – On the Ancient Paths

Jesus taught that the broad street in life leads to destruction, but the strait and narrow path leads to everlasting life:

“Enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be which go in thereat; because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads unto life (eternal life) and few there be that find it” Matthew 7:13-14.

Jesus informed us here that most of the world’s inhabitants wish to go down a sinful path and avoid following Him on the strait and narrow path that leads to life everlasting. He said, “…few there be that find it.”

Most people, even many who call themselves “Christians” today, do not like the constraints of living holy.

Jesus said,

“He who takes not his cross and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life shall lose it, and he that loses his life for My sake shall find it” Matthew 10:38-39.

Yes, there are things to give up, to deny one’s self, in order to follow Christ, but they aren’t worth mentioning compared to eternal life, are they?

The Lord is telling us here that if we seek after our own desires in life, searching for our own fulfillment, we will certainly lose our lives (eternally); but if we forsake all, if necessary, to do the will of God in this world, we will gain heaven and rewards unspeakable forever (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Paul explains it very well, as he described Moses’s sacrifice to do the will of God and gain heaven:

“By faith Moses, when he was come to years (emancipated), refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. By faith, he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible” Hebrews 11:24-27.

This life lasts for only a moment compared to eternity. Is there really anything so pleasurable, for that moment, that is worth spending eternity in hell for? The answer is quite simple, yet so many people, even many who call themselves “Christians,” take the wrong path.

Why are so many people deceived?

Do you believe that all the people who call themselves “Christians” (approximately 2.2 billion) are entering heaven simply because they name the name of Christ?

Jesus said,

“This people (speaking of the hypocrites) draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me” Matthew 15:8.

Apostle Peter said,

“If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?” 1 Peter 4:18.

Notice that Peter made a distinction between the “ungodly” and the “sinner.” He didn’t refer to all of the unsaved people as “ungodly.” He referenced both, because some people do not claim God as their God, so they are “ungodly;” but the “sinner” might claim that God is their God, yet continue in sin, thus they aren’t denying the existence of God, or that they are servants of God, but they are “sinners” because they continue in sin.

This means, folks, that sin will separate us from God. That is a fact that Calvinists and many others who claim to be “Christians” refuse to believe. They refuse to believe it because they simply don’t want to quit sinning. These want God, and sin at the same time; they want to walk the broad path.

Through prayer and spending a lot of time in God’s Word, learning at the feet of Jesus every day, He has given me guidance on how to overcome.

I asked the Lord to help me overcome temptation and accomplish one primary thing, above all else, and that is to live pleasing in His sight. In response, one of the things He has shown me is that I need to seek the “ancient paths.”

The Word of the Lord came to the Prophet Jeremiah, saying,

“Because My people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to vanity, which has caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in a way not cast up, to make their land desolate and a perpetual hissing. Everyone that passes by shall be astonished and wag his head” Jeremiah 18:15.

In other words, because of vanity, pride and self will, people are stumbling from the ancient paths, and they are walking a broad path not cast up for them by God, what many might refer to today as the “old fashioned ways.”

God never changes. He is the same today, yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

The youth especially might say, That’s boring!

Albeit, I know young kids and young adults who love to pray and serve the Lord, because they are experiencing God on a level many Christians don’t know about. These kids were raised in holiness churches and today they have spiritual dreams and visions, they speak in tongues, as the apostles did on the day of Pentecost, when the Spirit of the Lord was poured out (Acts 2), and they sincerely find that serving the Lord is a constant “high,” if you will. They have the spiritual insight to understand that getting drunk, getting high on drugs and getting pregnant before they are old enough to marry, lead down the paths to destruction.

Apostle Peter prophesied:

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams” Acts 2:17.

This is happening in certain places, among certain people who walk the ancient paths. It is happening among those who love God with all of their heart, with all of their mind and with all of their strength; they have no delight in the things of the world, but rather desire the presence of God above anything else in this world.

Peter also said concerning these who walk the ancient paths:

“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” 1 Peter 2:9.

The Lord has also taught me patience. As described in Acts 1-2, the apostles and others, a group of about 120, were waiting for the Holy Ghost to fill them with power for service, the Comforter that was promised by Jesus (John 14:26), and they had to “tarry” in Jerusalem (Luke 24:49). Sometimes God works quickly, and at other times our faith is tested and we have to wait, as the apostles did for the promise of the Holy Ghost. I have learned to wait on God for His best gifts, for revelation and for His promises. I had been praying several hours when I received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of about 14. Two faithful saints of God prayed with me until around midnight. As we were silently praying through the night, it was as though lightning suddenly hit me when the Holy Ghost fell. Yes, I have learned to have patience and wait on the Lord.

King David also learned to wait on the Lord (Psalms 27:14).

If you wish to overcome, it is necessary to walk the ancient paths, not a in a “way not cast up” by God. The prophets and the apostles walked the ancient paths. These paths lead to holiness and consecration, and they are unknown to the world. In fact, the world abhors the ancient paths.

You can only place satan under your feet on the ancient paths paved by God.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.

CHRISTIANS BEWARE! “Be not deceived; evil communications corrupt good manners” 1 Corinthians 15:33

When Jesus prayed, He said, “I have given them (speaking of His disciples) Your Word, and the world hates them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” John 17:14-16.

Once we receive Jesus, the only begotten Son of the living God, as our Savior, we are not of the world. Jesus said this during his prayer, before He was crucified for the sins of the world. Did Jesus lie? No!

It is God’s will that, once we know who He is and receive Jesus as our Savior, that our nature be changed. The Word of God tells us,

“Now I say this, brethren (of the household of faith), that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, neither does corruption inherit incorruption” 1 Corinthians 15:50.

The Word of God also tells us,

“Awake to righteousness, and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God; I speak this to your shame” 1 Corinthians 15:34.

“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold, all things become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

The bottom line is this: we, who are in Christ Jesus, are new creatures, and we are not to sin. We might sin in a weak moment, but it will not be our habit to sin. Paul wrote:

“My little children, these things I write unto you, that you sin not; and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” 1 John 2:1.

Saints, do not “hang out” with sinners, even if they are among your family members. “Evil communications corrupt good manners” (1 Corinthians 15:33).

Jesus is our example in every situation. He was with His disciples, along with some Pharisees that were in the midst of the people to criticize him, when His mother, Mary, and His brothers, the sons of Joseph, came along, desiring to speak with Jesus:

“Then one said unto Him, Behold, Your mother and Your brethren stand without, desiring to speak with You. But He answered and said unto him that told Him, Who is My mother and who are My brethren? And He stretched forth His hand toward His disciples and said, Behold, My mother and My brethren! For whoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, sister and mother” Matthew 12:47-50.

I have a story of my own to tell regarding family members that I can’t associate with, until they get saved, but I won’t go into that. My situation is basically as Jesus illustrated in the passage above.

Friends, especially in this hour, whatever might hinder you in any way, shape or form spiritually, avoid it, and run from it entirely, if possible. We are living in a very evil day and the Word of God tells us,

“Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour” 1 Peter 5:8.

Paul admonished us:

“A little leaven leavens the whole lump” Galatians 5:9.

Throughout the Bible, leaven is referred to as sin.

Paul further admonished:

“Purge out, therefore, the old leaven, that you may be a new lump (a new creature in Christ – without leaven – without sin), as you are unleavened, for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us” 1 Corinthians 5:7.

The Old Testament is a type and shadow of things to come in the New Testament. During the Passover, the Hebrews were instructed to remove leaven from their bread and eat unleavened bread for seven days (Exodus 12:15). They were to remove leaven from their entire house – purge it out! This was a type/shadow of our sanctification. Jesus saved us from our sins, not to leave us in our sins, full of sin. We are to be sanctified, to live holy. The Apostle Paul also wrote,

“Therefore, Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate (outside of Jerusalem’s gate)” Hebrews 13:12.

I will leave this final teaching of Paul with you:

“Now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner, with such an one not to eat (fellowship)…therefore, put away from among yourselves that wicked person” 1 Corinthians 5:11-13.

Was Paul so confident that he believed himself to be invincible under any circumstances? He said,

“I keep under my body and bring it into subjection, lest by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” I Corinthians 9:27.

We must be vigilant, saints.

COMMENTS / RSS NOT WORKING

I have finally turned the Comments off on the wordpress websites, because people have complained that the RSS feed isn’t working, and I haven’t received legitimate comments since late last year, except SPAM and hacks, which I have to delete en mass (sorry if yours was included). My wordpress sites have obviously been hijacked, but that comes with the territory, folks!

I do apologize for this lack of communication, but it also happens on my other sites not related to wordpress. This is what the Luciferians do against those who expose them.

The Word of God tells us,

“Blessed are you when men shall hate you and when they separate you from their company and shall reproach you and cast out your name as evil for the Son of man’s (Jesus’s) sake” Luke 6:22.

“If the world hate you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you” John 15:18.

Our communication with God is what really matters and isn’t it great that they can’t touch it!

MY SHEEP KNOW MY VOICE

God compares His people to sheep, as they are often referenced in the Word of God. Jesus said,

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me” John 10:27.

Jesus also spoke of the habits of the sheep, to demonstrate why He refers to us as sheep:

“He that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep, to him the porter opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice, and a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voice of strangers” John 10:2-5.

Have you ever felt a foreboding about something, followed through with it anyway, and it turned out disastrous?

Have you ever felt guilt rise up about some decision, or activity, that you felt the Lord would not be pleased with, but you ignored the guilt, perhaps justifying the thing as borderline, but not a sin, only to later discover that decision, or activity, led to greater sin and condemnation?

Do you ever participate in worldly events that you know Jesus wouldn’t do, but you allow those things because, well, “I’m only human?”

Even though the Word of God says, “Wine is a mocker; strong drink is raging, and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise” (Proverbs 20:1), do you ever convince yourself you are only a social drinker, you know when to quit, and drink anyway?

God placed into His people, those who have repented and received Jesus as their Savior, a conscience and the tugging of His Spirit upon our hearts to know when to beware. It is only when we ignore those tugs and thoughts of caution, that they eventually go away and finally, one day, perhaps never return.

The Word of God says,

“He that, being often reproved, hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy” Proverbs 29:1.

God also warned, just before sending a devastating flood that destroyed all of mankind, except for one righteous man and his family,

“My Spirit shall not always strive with man…” Genesis 6:3. (He then decided to send the flood – Genesis 6:5-8.)

Romans 1:21-32, explains in full detail how people can go from refusing to acknowledge and serve the Lord, or give Him glory, to indulging in their own sinful lusts, to the degree that they cross over to a reprobate mind, meaning there is no hope for that person – ever!

One might consider that someone who is reprobate has never known God, because if they did, God wouldn’t allow them to pluck them out of His hand. Jesus did say, “no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand” John 10:29.

He said, “no man;” He did not say that we, ourselves, could not turn away from God and betray Him.

There is a flurry of reassurances on the internet and throughout churches about this “no ability to backslide” (Calvin) doctrine. To make this short, I will simply provide one area of scripture which dispels that whole entire theme:

“It is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good Word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame” Hebrews 6:4-6.

This is not referring to committing a sin, once a person has been saved and received the gift of the Holy Ghost; this is referring to falling away from the faith entirely, for all of God’s people have messed up and had to repent at some point, or another.

The point here is that there is such a thing as backsliding from the faith and being given over to a “reprobate mind,” not redeemable, as per God’s decision. Again, Romans 1:21-32 is also a very good example of this condition.

People simply would rather isolate some scriptures that seem to indicate we can never lose our salvation, because they want to continue in sin, but all of the scriptures must be “rightly divided” (2 Timothy 2:5), so the entire truth is laid out before us. No scripture is of private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20).

That being said, it is of vital importance to hear the voice of God, as Jesus said we would, if we are His sheep (John 10:27).

We must first know the Word of God better than we know anything in this world. We are unable to discern if it is the Lord’s voice, or the deceptive voice of another, if we don’t know the Word of God for comparison.

How many books have you read? Enough? Perhaps very many? Comparatively, how much have you read and studied the Word of God, which is the pathway to heaven, without which people end up in hell.

How important is reading the Word of God? It is as important as getting into heaven for all eternity, or ending up in the eternal flames of hell.

The Bible tells us that God is His Word (John 1:1, 14). If we don’t love and cleave to His Word, we don’t love Him!

“PULLING THEM OUT OF THE FIRE”

Major Bible prophecies have been fulfilled regarding the end times and the return of the Lord, confirming to the saints that the “catching up” of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) could happen at any time.

Israel became a nation in our generation (1948); Jerusalem was retaken by Israel during the Six Day War, (1967); Israel is “blossoming like a rose” (Isaiah 35:1), and these prophecies had to be fulfilled in order for the Lord to return, according to Bible prophecy. The prophecies have been fulfilled and now we are “looking up” for the return of the Lord.

We are living in very evil times; but we are also living in the most exciting time yet for the saints of God, who are ready and watching for His return.

Some of us, no doubt, have a gnawing hesitation, as earnestly as we wait for our Savior, because we have unsaved loved ones. If all of your loved ones are saved, how very blessed you are!

The Lord laid this message on my heart, as I made supplications for my family, and other loved ones, to surrender to God and turn away from sin, so they can be ready for the Lord’s return.

The saints of God are excitedly anticipating Christ’s return, but if our loved ones aren’t saved, we must ask ourselves if we have done all that can be done to win them to Jesus, before it’s too late to escape the great tribulation (Matthew 24:21) and God’s wrath poured out upon a wicked world.

Some may need to hear the gospel; others may have been saved at one time, but are living in a state of willful sin and they are far from God. Whatever the case may be, it is important to pray the right kind of prayers for the particular circumstances of the unsaved, and it is equally as important to approach them in the manner God would have us to, according to instructions given in the Holy Word of God.

Jude wrote about the lost,

“Of some, have compassion, making a difference; and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh” Jude 1:22-23 (emphasis added).

In other words, there are those we can approach with compassion and consultation, making a difference in their way of thinking through humble admonition. There are others, however, that are steeped in sin, that we may not even want to approach because of their behavior, but Jude said some need to be warned to fear God and hell fire that awaits them, if they do not repent.

Each person that is not saved, depending on his/her circumstances, needs to be approached in perhaps a different way, as we are led of the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel wrote extensively about negligent watchmen who failed to warn evil men against committing their wicked acts, and the prophet warned that God would require the blood of these sinners at their hands on account of their negligence. Ezekiel warned the watchmen not only in chapter 3, but he went on to repeat the same warnings in chapter 33.

God told Ezekiel:

“Go to them of the captivity, unto the children of your people and speak to them, and tell them, Thus says the Lord God, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear…And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the Word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, I have made you a watchman unto the house of Israel, therefore, hear the Word at My mouth and give them warning from Me. When I say unto the wicked, You shall surely die, and you give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul. Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die, because you have not given him warning; he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood will I require at your hand. Nevertheless, if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul” Ezekiel 3:11,16-21.

Do you perhaps have a family member, or other loved one, who is opposed to hearing about their need for salvation, to the extent that you have not wanted to approach that person? This is not uncommon, and some are very opposed to hearing the gospel of salvation, or the fact that they are a sinner in need of the Savior.

If you have attempted to speak to that one, but this person has adamantly refused the Lord, there may be nothing more you can say, but you can pray that God will send a messenger this one will hear, even if they didn’t want to hear from you.

We can pray that God will send a messenger our loved ones will hear; and we can pray “whatever it takes to bring them to salvation, so be it.”

Do we pray for blessings, protection, healing and financial blessings for our lost loved ones? We can, but we had better include in our prayers that even if it takes the “destruction of their flesh,” bring them to their knees (1 Corinthians 5:5). Some will repent on their deathbed, but at no other time. Would we rather them die feeling good, but end up in hell unsaved and lost, or pray that “whatever it takes, if it takes the destruction of their flesh, save them, oh Lord.”

Paul admonished the saints in Corinth, regarding a man who was sleeping with his father’s wife, to turn that backslidden brother “over to satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus” 1 Corinthians 5:5.

The reason Paul instructed the saints to pray in this manner is because if saints who backslide and are caught up in such a vile sin as this, and they do not repent, we need to pray for “the destruction of their flesh,” so that in their grave illness, perhaps on their death bed, they will repent and ask for God’s forgiveness.

If we continue to pray for blessings upon our loved ones who are living in sin and disobedience, especially if they have known the Lord and His goodness, it is imperative to give them strong warning and pray “whatever it takes, even if it takes the destruction of their flesh, bring them to repentance, oh Lord.”

If we pray comfort and blessings upon them, will they not enter hell, unaware and comfortable, until they hit the flames?

As difficult as it is, we absolutely must pray for circumstances that are many times difficult and grievous, if that’s what it will take to bring them to repentance, rather than see our loved ones end up in hell fire forever, without reprieve!

Some of the hardest people to speak to about the Lord are those who insist they are already saved and they have no need to repent, but they are living in a state of willful sin.

The Word of God is very clear; the unrighteous shall not enter the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9). We are not saved by works, only the grace of God. Albeit, when the Lord saves us, He calls us out of sin. He doesn’t save us from sin, only to see us return to darkness and “crucify Him afresh” (Hebrews 6:6).

The Apostle Paul said,

“If we sin willfully, after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins” Hebrews 10:26.

In other words, it is only when we repent and forsake our sins, we will be forgiven by God.

The Word also tells us,

“My little children, these things I write to you, that you sin not; and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” 1 John 2:1.

This teaching is very clear. We are not to sin, but if we fall, we need to repent; we have an advocate with the Father.

However, if we repent, but continue in sin, there is no more “sacrifice” for those sins in Christ Jesus, because we sin willfully (Hebrews 10:26). We can be forgiven again, but we need to repent. Still, we are not to continue willfully in sin.

There is a strong and definite difference between being overcome in a moment of weakness, and repenting afterwards; and living in a state of willful sin, perhaps repenting, but continuing in that same sin.

Regardless of the condition of our loved ones who aren’t saved, the important thing for us to do in this hour is to make absolutely certain that we have done all within our power to present the gospel, and warn those living in sin who have already heard the gospel. Either way, whether it be to present the truth, or issue warnings, we have a grave responsibility before God to make certain we have done all we can do. God is our judge.

It is equally important to pray the appropriate prayers for our lost loved ones, as we are led of the Spirit of the Lord, lest we pray blessings upon those who actually need chastisement for the sake of their own spiritual awakening.

May the Lord bless you with boldness to present the gospel, or issue warnings, and may the peace of God be with those of you who fulfill His will in this.

Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

A MESSAGE FROM GOD, YESTERDAY AND TODAY

A message from God was spoken through the mouth of Moses thousands of years ago, which still reverberates throughout the world today, which people can only hear with their spiritual ears:

“Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; a blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day; and a curse, if you will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods which you have not known (actually can be anything placed in priority above God)” Deuteronomy 11:26-28.

The message still rings true today. Anyone who is willing to place God and His Commandments above all else, love Him first, and do according to His will, as it is written in His Holy Word, will be blessed, oh so blessed!  Many of the promised blessings are detailed in God’s Holy Word.

Contrarily, those who defy the living God, do not fear Him, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and do not keep His Holy Commandments, as they are written in His Holy Word, will be cursed with an everlasting curse!

Under the New Covenant and dispensation of the mercy of God, however, there is a remedy extended to those who are living under the curse of the Law of God.

Because Jesus came and suffered and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, we may now come boldly before the throne of God and repent of our sins, turn away from evil, and be blessed!

All is not lost if you have been living under a curse in this life, friend.

Jesus said,

“Come unto Me, all of you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls; for My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30.

The Word of God tells us that the way of the transgressor is hard (Proverbs 13:15).

If you find yourself miserable, not prospering, losing on every hand, sad, heartbroken and on a path to destruction, look up to where your help will come from (Psalm 121:1).

The Lord looks down from heaven and searches for those who are His sheep and He has promised to bless them (Ezekiel 34:11). Once we repent of our sins, and forsake them, we are instantly His “sheep,” His children (Proverbs 28:13).

Nevertheless, God is a gentle shepherd and He will never force the flock to come to Him; He waits patiently for us to heed His call:

“The Spirit (of God) and the Bride (His people) say, Come. Let him that hears say, Come. Let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17.

Jesus also said,

“Whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:26.

Jesus is referring to the fact that our spirits live on forever, and our bodies will also be raised up immortal during the resurrection of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:51-54). It is then that our spirits and bodies will again be reunited and we will live forever with an immortal body.

Entering hell forever because of sins committed in this life is referred to as “eternal damnation” in the Word of God (Mark 3:29); but those who accept Jesus as their Savior will live in glory forever with Him; they will enter “eternal life” (Romans 6:23).

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining will also come to pass. Please don’t neglect your eternal soul. If you aren’t saved, I invite you to visit the How Can I Be Saved page of this website.  God bless you.

ROARING LION 1
Screen shot: YouTube.com

THERE IS A LION OUT THERE!

The Word of God tells us that satan seeks to devour us like a roaring lion.

“Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour” 1 Peter 5:8.

Who is it that would not be afraid of a roaring lion rushing toward you?

ROARING LION

Screen shot: YouTube.com

I can tell you, I would be, except by the supernatural power of God, if I had to confront him. First of all, I will avoid him with all of my soul, all of my heart, mind and strength!

Sometimes we have no choice but to confront the devil. We can see that example in David versus Goliath, the giant (nephilim – original Hebrew) who threatened Israel. David had the power of God with him, because he dwelt in the “Secret Place” of the Most High God (Psalms 91).

If you don’t dwell in the Secret Place, you had better call upon the name of the Lord fast, as you seek a hiding place from the enemy of your soul!

The key to abiding in the Secret Place is found primarily in Psalms 91:9, “Because you have made the Lord, even the Most High, your habitation;” and Psalms 91:14, “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore, I will deliver him.” There are also other passages within that chapter, Psalms 91, which demonstrate to us how to gain the high favor of God and dwell in His Secret Place.

How can we make the Lord our habitation? We keep our minds fixed on Him (Isaiah 26:3), His ways, His commandments, His truth and His mighty presence with us at all times, as much as lies within us to do so.

The other major factor is setting our love upon Him. We might all know how to do that: “…let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24). Jesus explains in this passage of scripture that if we want to follow Him, we must deny ourselves:

“Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” Matthew 16:24.  These are the conditions, friends.

Jesus also said,

“If you love Me, keep My commandments” John 14:15.

He said concerning some:

“This people draw nigh unto Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me” Matthew 15:8.

The truth is that if we truly deny ourselves and seek after the Lord will all of our hearts, we don’t really lose anything at all, perhaps momentarily, for the Word of God tells us:

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6:33.  *It doesn’t happen instantly; faith and patience is involved.

Getting back to the lion…

Certainly, if any one of us sees a hungry, roaring lion coming at us, we are going to call on God and avoid the encounter with all that is within us.

Joseph was a good example of this avoidance. Joseph fled so fast from Potiphar’s wife, who wanted to commit adultery with him, that he fled, leaving his garment behind in her hands, as she grabbed his clothes. Potiphar’s wife used the garment against him, showing it to Potiphar’s household, and she accused Joseph of trying to molest her, but he actually fled from her. Joseph ended up in prison for a while, and this is where the real test of faith comes in, but in the end, after he endured the trial with patience, Joseph became second in command under the King himself! You will have to read the entire account for yourself to appreciate the mighty, miracle-working hand of God in behalf of His elect, those who dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High (Genesis 39-41).

If we don’t study the Word of God diligently every day, keeping also a faithful prayer life before God, we become extremely weak, if not backslidden from God. Our physical bodies cannot survive without natural food, and our spiritual bodies cannot survive without spiritual food, which is the Word of the Most High God.

Jesus said,

If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you” John 15:7.

We only abide in Christ, as we diligently study His Word and pray. The Word then abides in us and we will speak the Words of Christ, and God will honor those Words.

In summary, the spiritual lion is very real and he lurks ever near to find an avenue to devour you and your family.

As sure as the invisible hydrogen and the invisible oxygen, when they come together, bring forth water, which you can then see with your natural eyes, God and satan are very real. God is calling you to eternal life through the path that our Lord and Savior made for us, Jesus Christ, His Son. Satan, on the other hand, seeks to devour as many as he can, while there is still time.

The days have become so evil that, unless we seek to dwell in the Secret Place, we may be devoured.

The Word of God tells us,

“Except those days be shortened (the latter days – now), there should no flesh be saved, but for the elect’s sake, those days will be shortened…for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” Matthew 24:22,24.

Don’t think so? Do you believe God will hold you up no matter what you do, or how you live, because you once said a sinner’s prayer? Take note of this:

“Therefore, let him who thinks he stands, take heed, lest he fall” 1 Corinthians 10:12.

No one will be allowed to live in sin and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Word of God tells us,

“Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (men who act like women), nor abusers of themselves with mankind (men who sleep with men – this applies to women who act like men, and women who sleep with women as well), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the Kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

Take heed and warn your loved ones, because there is a lion out there!

Hit hard by Obamacare? It would be well worth your while to compare plans and rates among these Christian healthcare cooperatives. They are inexpensive and meet the federal mandates of the new healthcare law:

Christian Healthcare Ministries (www.CHMinistries.org)

Samaritan Ministries (www.SamaritanMinistries.org)

Medi-Share (www.Medi-Share.org)

*One of these ministries, which I chose to avoid paying Obama(don’t)care taxes, is such a tremendous blessing to me. They have the same deductible, but the monthly cost is half the amount that the Obama(don’t)care premiums would have been. I determined I would not give my personal data to the online exchange, even if I had to pay a high tax penalty, but just six months before the tax penalty would have kicked in, God led me to the ministry, one of these three, that I selected. I don’t use it and never intend to use it, but God made a way for me to avoid the tax penalty. Isn’t God wonderful? He is always just on time, when we trust fully in Him!

THE FULL ARMOR

God takes care of His children on this earth, as much as we will allow Him to. He never forces His people to be obedient, but rather He has given us a free will and the ability to make choices.

Jesus said many times throughout His ministry, before ascending to the Father, to beware of deception.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many” Matthew 24:4-5.

“And false prophets shall rise and deceive many” Matthew 24:11.

“For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” Matthew 24:24.

So, we see here that, according to Matthew’s account in chapter 24 alone, Jesus warned His disciples not once, not twice, but three times to beware of false Christs and false prophets, who will do wonders in the last days, so much so that the very elect would be deceived, if possible.

The elect are those of us that attend to the Lord every day, nearly all day, in prayer, reading the Word, praise and worship and ministry. If you don’t fit into this category, all the more, take heed!

The devil is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

“Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour” 1 Peter 5:8.

A child of God has to “open the door” to deception, friends. We have protection, as children of God, and satan is not allowed to breach our armor, or break down our door. He can only get a foothold if we remove our armor, or fail to put it on daily, or open the door to him.

The enemy of our souls never gives up seeking a way to enter through the door that God has placed against him, or through a breach in the armor that God has given us to wear.

The armor of God consists of these: the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness (so much for those who don’t believe we can live righteous in this world), the sword of the Spirit, our loins girt about with truth, and our feet shod with the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:10-18).

We must be diligent and always on guard. There are, however, seasons of rest to the saints of God (Hebrews 4:9-11). I would describe these seasons as dwelling in the “Secret Place” of the Most High.

One doesn’t just slip right into the “Secret Place” as soon as they repent and receive salvation. The Apostle Paul explained to the Hebrews, “Let us labor, therefore, to enter into that rest…” Hebrews 4:11.

What is the Secret Place?

The Secret Place of the Most High is explained by King David in Psalms 91. If you read the chapter, you will discover that those who enter the Secret Place of the Most High, abiding under His shadow, are those who “make the Lord, even the Most High, their habitation” and who “set their love upon Him.” In other words, you are so in love with the Lord that you are always thinking about Him, nearly always praying, or talking to Him, studying His Word, or praising Him, making the Lord your first and foremost priority above all things, so much so, that He is your habitation = the Secret Place. Come to this holy, holy place with God and you will have rest to your soul and many benefits, as described in Psalms 91.

Jesus said,

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with Me” Revelation 3:20.

The Lord wants to “sup” with you as often as you will open the door to Him.

On the other hand, how does one open the door to satan? Watching secular television for hours; drinking liquor; smoking; taking drugs (can also be prescribed drugs); listening to secular music (there are evil spirits associated with many types of music, other than gospel); obsessions, such as obsessive cleaning, obsessive eating, obsessively watching TV; obsessively shopping and spending, etc; focusing on the material things of this world and pride, whereas our focus should be the Lord, and all other things will be provided.

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” Matthew 6:33.

Certainly, we are to live in this world, shop for those things that we have need of, take care of those things the Lord has provided, cleaning the home, our clothes, the yards, etc; but we need to place God first in our lives and these other things will be a breeze. I do these chores much of the time while praying or singing hymns.

In fact, it never ceases to amaze me that when I determine to pray and read the Word first, I can quickly get the other things done that I need to do. When I have failed to put the things of God first, I can’t seem to get those things done that I sacrificed God’s time to get done. It never fails!

We always need to bear in mind that satan appears as an “angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). He is not always going to attack on the premise of evil. He will disguise himself as one, for example, who needs help, or who presents as a “lover,” or who even presents himself as an aid in the time of trouble – beware!

If that person, or that opportunity, or that pitiful one comes along, but there is any possibility that they are involved in evil, or the appearance of evil, or perhaps they appear to need help, but they aren’t saved – beware! Yes, we are to help the lost materially, as well as spiritually, but allow a brother to help males, and a sister to help females, etc.

Notice also that the good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-35) did not take the stranger home with him, but he helped him, purchased a room for him and gave provision elsewhere. He wanted to help the man who had been robbed and beaten, but he didn’t really know him, if he was evil, or a godly man. He didn’t risk bringing an unsaved, wicked person into his home to jeopardize himself, or his family, but he provided for him other facilities and provision. That was the wise thing to do.

The saints of God can give to ministries that are set up to provide food, shelter and clothing to the poor and minister to them spiritually, but we should never take someone from the street and bring them home. That would be foolish. There are ministries and government programs in place to help the poor and homeless. If God speaks to you and tells you to bring someone home, that would be an exception. (He will never tell a woman who lives alone to bring a man home; and He will never tell a man who lives alone to bring a woman home.)

Jesus said,

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves” Matthew 10:16.

Be diligent, faithful, at peace, long-suffering, meek, gentle and wise. Always put God first and foremost in your life, living prayerfully and studying His Word, and you can dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High.
